2nd December is the feast of Arianrhod.
Arianrhod is a Celtic Goddess, whose name means 'Silver Wheel', she is Goddess of the Moon, the Silver Wheel that descends into the sea.
Her glass castle is known as Caer Arianrhod and stands at the hub of the turning stars. Caer Arianrhod turns continually, and as it turns the universe turns too. Caer Arianrhod is also the gate between the worlds of being and non-being, of the incarnate and the dead. Spirits pass through here on their way to the lands of the blessed, and will return through Caer Arianrhod on their way to a new incarnation.
Arianrhod is one of the weaver goddesses, she determines the general path a life will take, but then it is up to each individual what they make of that.
The totem bird of Arianrhod is the owl, and she can shapeshift into that form. So always be kind to owls, as the Goddess may be one of them.
