Welcome to the official page of the Minneapolis School Based Clinics!

Located in Minneapolis Public High Schools, we provide free, confidential & non-judgmental health care for youth. We offer a comprehensive set of services for our patients.

🩺Medical Services include physicals, immunizations, treatment of minor illness and injury, STI testing and treatment, family planning exams, and prescriptions. We offer Laboratory Services in clinic, which includes routine blo

od and urine tests, throat cultures, diabetes tests, and STD and pregnancy tests. Prescriptions are available from the Clinics.

🧠Mental Health Services include prevention, early intervention, treatment and referrals. Students may come for help with depression, anxiety, stress, family and relationship issues, academic issues, and planning for the future.

🍽Nutrition Services include counseling for sports nutrition, special diets for weight gain/loss, vegetarian diets, and other special dietary needs.

🤍Our programs also include include health education services and social work services. Our Health Educators offer individual and classroom presentations on a variety of health issues, and the Clinic’s social work services include support and referrals to community agencies and resources.

Each semester, our educators join health teachers in the classroom for the s*xual health unit. Students have a chance to make posters about healthy choices to share with their school.

We had a great Fast STI Testing Day at FAIR High School at the end of February! 🎉🩺

We had over 70 students get tested. That means 70 more young people:
-know more about their health 💙
-are more confident getting healthcare 💪
-are connected to a clinic right in their school 🏫✨

Our next event will be at Camden on March 17th! 📅🎉

MPS students: if you are using the online learning option, you can still access care through the school-based clinics!

The online learning option was scheduled to end last week, but has been extended through April 6th. We will be offering virtual care options, including telehealth, for as long as students are learning virtually.

SBC staff asked students at an MPS high school to share what is on their hearts. Swipe and zoom in to their answers. We see, appreciate, and provide care for ALL MPS students, regardless of ability to pay or citizenship status.

We will be closed for conferences, Presidents' Day, and professional development day. We will be open when school is back in session on Wednesday, February 18th.

Whether you are learning in person or virtually, SBC staff are still here to help connect you to the health care you need.

Mindfulness can be a helpful tool when things feel confusing, scary, or like they are moving too fast.
Mindfulness means slowing down and noticing what’s happening right now—your breath, your body, your feelings—without judging yourself. When things feel stressful or overwhelming, pausing for a moment can help you reset and take the next step with more clarity.
We will be posting more mindfulness tips in the coming weeks.
