World breast pumping day is celebrated annually on January 27th to honor the dedication, resilience, and effort of parents who use breast pumps to feed their babies. Founded in 2017 by Wendy Armbruster, it aims to create a supportive community for those navigating work and challenges while providing breast milk.

Let's encourage and support those who can't always chest feed and to normalize, celebrate, and support the act of pumping breast milk, whether at work, school, or home.

Currently doing a virtual birth tour to prepare to help a client at a new hospital.

Some policies are great! Respecting Golden hour, very supportive of breastfeeding, unlimited visitors.

But some things are still mind boggling how transactional we have made birth. How sterile and just how cookie cutter some expectations are.

⚠️ PSA: Winter Coats and Car Seats Don't Mix! ⚠️ Bulky jackets and snowsuits compress in a crash, leaving too much space between your child and the harness. The fix? First, buckle the harness snugly without the coat. Keep your child warm by covering them with a coat or a blanket over the buckled and tightened straps.

Know the Signs of Preterm Labor.

Every week of pregnancy matters; and knowing the signs of preterm labor could help save a life.

About 1 in 10 babies are born too early, which can lead to serious health challenges.

Recognizing the warning signs gives you the power to act fast and protect your baby’s health.

Early warning signs include:
⚠️ Low, dull backache or cramping
⚠️ Pressure in the pelvis or lower abdomen
⚠️ Regular contractions or tightening that won’t stop
⚠️ Fluid leakage or a change in discharge

If you notice any of these symptoms, contact your healthcare provider or go to the hospital right away.

Your awareness makes a difference; because every day counts when it comes to your baby’s health.

PSA that if you see a child without a coat on in the seconds it takes to go from the car to inside that’s because it’s not safe for babies and children to wear bulky coats in their car seats!!
