I believe that Cancer was one of my greatest gifts. ("Gasp! 😲--- No way, Gina!" ---you must be thinking right now)

To be honest, it took a few months to get to that realization.

When I was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer in 2020, I was overwhelmed with negative thoughts and emotions like despair, anger, disbelief.

All alone in Mexico where I went for integrative treatment, I cried almost everyday.

The crazy thing was, I wasn't crying because I was feeling sorry for myself or missing my family.

I was crying watching the beautiful sunrise over the ocean and for the promise of a new day. Tears of gratitude fell down my cheeks.

Sometimes we need to breakdown to breakthrough.

During the three weeks I was in Mexico, I went inward and reconnected with my soul to uncover the valuable lessons embedded in my adversity.

I can honestly say that because of cancer, I was able to learn so much about holistic healing and totally reinvent myself as an energy healer and coach.

It's not easy to make advances in our lives when we have negative voices in our heads that constantly hold us hostage. The negative dialogue can sometimes spin out of control causing us to feel helpless and hopeless.

What's needed? A strong mindset, an effective coaching system and Coach, and powerful tools to build healthy habits.

Co-founder Dave Sandoval's plastic-free vision led Purium to transition from plastic scoops and bottles to today's compostable packages. When his vision expanded to help other companies easily do the same, Dave created a non-profit called the Plastic-Free Packaging Alliance (PFPA). Created to educate the public and promote the concept of plastic-free commerce, the PFPA aims to replace toxic, petrochemical-based packaging with non-toxic, eco-friendly alternatives to dramatically reduce waste.

On March 9, the PFPA will host a red carpet, fundraising gala with an awards ceremony that will honor Purium co-founder Amy Venner and Black Diamond Kimberly Sanders for championing plastic-free commerce.
