Sam’s Organics, a Holistic Wellness Company by RN and certified raw food chef, Samantha Melesko offers vegan and handcrafted body products, recipes, and immersive events in San Diego, CA and beyond. Sam started Sam’s Organics in November 2016 in an effort to provide products to her friends and family that were nontoxic, healthier for the body, and safer for the environment. Over the last three years, Sam has grown the current product line to what it is today and has hosted six sold out wellness events in her community. Dedicated to inspiring others to adopt a healthier, more holistic and plant-based lifestyle, Sam hosts local workshops on topics such as raw vegan eating and technique, DIY self care products, as well as her annual retreat to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica at Horizon Yoga Hote

About Our Products

Sam’s Organics by Samantha Melesko offers handmade, organic body care products that perfectly suit anyone looking to indulge in a daily self care routine. Since our skin is our largest organ, it is vital to remember that what we put onto our bodies is just as important as what we put in. All of our products are made with 100% organic and pure ingredients in Sam’s home kitchen and produced in small batches to ensure quality and consistency. It's important to hand select our ingredients from local farmers whenever possible.

Meet Sam

Sam received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island in May 2011. After college, Sam began working as a Registered Nurse in the medical-surgical field, followed by a stint in the Emergency Department in a Magnet hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. She quickly realized that many patients were not being given the appropriate information they needed to heal and that many treatments revolved around pharmaceuticals.

After three years in this setting, Sam uprooted her life and moved to San Diego, California with her husband Nick and became a Registered Credentialed School Nurse in the an elementary school setting. With this shift, Sam began to love nursing again as she was able to interact with and educate students on topics she is passionate about. Through school nursing and multiple trips to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, Sam developed a strong passion for plant-based eating and living. After switching her diet and self care routine over the course of several years, she began to develop recipes for what is now Sam’s Organics.

In 2017, Sam began hosting local educational workshops and retreats on the topics of plant based eating and organic DIY self care product making, leading groups of more than 30 participants. She was the co-host of the sold out Spring into Wellness event at The Point, Fall into Wellness Retreat at Key's Creek Lavender Farm, and 2017 Vegan Thanksgiving Brunch in Pacific Beach.

In 2018, Sam received her Raw Food Chef Certification by master chef Joanne Gerard Young of The Healing Cuisine, and launched her newest endeavor with AirBNB Experiences in San Diego in collaboration with Peace Pies. Sam's Organics was also voted as San Diego's Best Vegan Local Manufacturer of 2017.

Sam looks forward to what the future holds for her growing brand, and will continue to provide educational retreats and organic products with the intention of helping people heal themselves and feel their best!
