“Many books tell us how to care for others, but far fewer show us how we might heal ourselves.” —Amy Wilson, author of Happy to Help

We’re proud to help spotlight Held Together by Dr. Rebecca N. Thompson—a deeply personal and beautifully written memoir about motherhood, medicine, and the strength we find in each other.

The book shares true stories from women navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, caregiving, identity, and the unpredictable paths to family. Among those stories is WHA’s own Dr. Dafna Lohr, who cared for Dr. Thompson during the pregnancy at the heart of the book and is featured under the name Devorah.

On Monday, October 27, Dr. Thompson and Dr. Lohr will be in conversation together at Annie Bloom’s Books in Portland for a live reading and discussion.

📍 Annie Bloom's Books – SW Capitol Hwy
🕖 7–8 PM | Free and open to the public

Join them for a thoughtful evening of shared stories and connection. 💚 💜
