🏷Had an amazing time helping the church heal through a Mental health session at ⛪️ St. Luke's Anglican Church, Makongeni Thika.

💡We focused on dealing with loss. This is an issue we have experienced in different measures even though many are the times we feel inadequate supporting those dealing with loss, either koz we have not yet healed ourselves or we are not equipped with the know how of dealing with such issues.

📎The church being a hospital for Christians, stands in the best position to support members tackle the challange in a healthy way for most congregants feel safe in the hands of their spiritual authorities.

🏷Today I joined the Ruiru Kihunguro Secondary school fraternity during the memorial service of their deputy principal Mr Mwaura at

📌I helped the mourner internalize loss and grief through the debriefing session as we celebrated the life of a teacher, who was not only a disciplinarian but a pillar of hope and played the role of a father figure to the students.

✔️It is important to note, Such a loss impacts the society in different ways, touching not only the live's of his family members but that of the teachers and students as well.

📎This is the reasons all why all the affected parties should be supported in the best way possible to process the loss and the shift that comes with it.

🏷Real grief, comes after the burial, reasons more support is needed and that will be our core mandate as in walking with Ruiru Kihunguro Secondary family.

💡Mr Mwaura will be remembered for his dedication in transforming the mindset of his students, opening up their vision for a greater future. Indeed your light shall continue to shine through the many you inspired
