Always self reflect. What is your responsibility? Are you working on you? Is blaming others or circumstances your default? Would people say you are happy and fun to be around, or do people dread being around you? Do you constantly judge and criticize others? Do you isolate and not spend time with people? Are you really self aware?

Everyone is less than perfect. We all have issues and make mistakes. You'll recognize the authentic people by their willingness to own their mistakes and make things right. Lack of self awareness is a trait in others to avoid. Be open and real about yourself. It takes courage to look at yourself and not just judge others for their flaws. Embrace the ones in your life who value a relationship with you enough to lay down their pride. Those are the keepers... the lovers of your soul.
