A Biophysical Profile Scoring (BPS) is a prenatal test that checks on your baby's well-being. It is recommended for women at increased risk of pregnancy complications.

A BPS test combines fetal heart rate monitoring and fetal ultrasound to evaluate your baby's:
- breathing
- movements
- muscle tone
- amniotic fluid level

When is it done?
The test is usually done after 32 weeks of pregnancy, but it can be done earlier if your pregnancy is far enough along to be considered for delivery.
