Dr. Javitz, D.C., under his chiropractic designation (registered as a chiropractor in Ontario as a member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontaro – CCO - https://cco.on.ca/), is a firm believer that optimal chiropractic care must go beyond pain management and should include guidance toward a healthier lifestyle. His philosophy of Complete Chiropractic Care combined with his investigative approach toward problem solving could provide a considerable difference in a patient regaining health in a short period of time while keeping the cost of treatment as low as reasonably possible. title is now a Retired NON-ACTIVE Acupuncturist designation (Not longer registered as an Acupuncturist in Ontario as a member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario – CTCMPAO). Daniel Javitz had studied both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Clinical Acupuncture during his chiropractic education years and had held the designation of a licensed Acupuncturist for over 11 years through the CTCMPAO until January 2025 at which point that license was Retired as described in the Acupuncture section of the website (https://drjavitz.com/acupuncture/). This means that acupuncture as a stand alone therapy for insurance claim recognition under the acupuncturist specific title may not be covered if a patient’s insurance company requires a CTCMPAO billing number to be seen on the receipt. For more details on this retirement decision of the Acupuncturist designation as well as insurance coverage changes for acupuncture therapy, please visit our Acupuncture page of the website (https://drjavitz.com/acupuncture/). Dr. Javitz, D.C., under his chiropractic designation along with his Acupuncture provider certification (Via ACO – Acupuncture Council of Ontario Certificate), is able to provide acupuncture therapy as a combination treatment within his chiropractic toolbox to be used with other physiotherapeutic style therapies to best expedite a recovery process or just provide some comfortable relief to tense muscles and stiff joints. In other words, despite the retirement of the Acupuncturist title/designation, Dr. Daniel Javitz, D.C. is still able to provide Acupuncture therapy under the designation of Acupuncture Provider as certified by the ACO – Acupuncture Council of Ontario within his scope of practice as a Chiropractor. Some Insurance companies may accept this ACO certificate number on a receipt as a means to reimburse a patient for Acupuncture only treatments. This will be accessed on a case by case basis as requested by the patient to check and see. By combining his knowledge of sports injuries, biomechanics, anatomy, muscle release therapy, general injury mechanics, and exercise therapy, Dr. Javitz provides his patients with Complete Chiropractic and/or Acupuncture Care, incorporating health education, exercise guidance and maintenance care. Parking Details:
We are located on the second floor of the Sheppard Plaza retailers right above the pizza pizza. The Sheppard Plaza has tons of free parking. The parking area directly in front of the upstairs office entrance is a one way circle that you may have to drive around once or twice until a spot opens up. If none open up, then make your way to the more open larger parking lot in front of the Metro grocery store and then be mindful of the walk to the office. If you are coming to the clinic from the north in the early morning, note that there is no right turn on Codsell Avenue (the street one streetlight north of Sheppard) between 7 a.m.
