Our residents turned the garden terrace into a slice of paradise with a Hawaiian Luau! With perfect weather, tropical snacks, and the soothing sounds of Ron Devon filling the air, everyone felt transported straight to the islands.

It was a day of laughter, music, and community, celebrating island life right in our own backyard.

Ahoy there! Hechtman residents set sail for a morning of fun during the Detroit Tall Ships Festival! Accompanied by Life Enrichment Coordinator Ashley Vayko, the group enjoyed a Diamond Jack river tour with stunning views of majestic tall ships and the Detroit skyline. A perfect day of fresh breezes, laughter, and unforgettable memories on the water.

At Hechtman, residents are discovering the benefits of mindfulness with the guidance of Resident Service Coordinator Jackie Rosender. Embracing a serene setting, they gather to sip on hot chamomile tea, which is known for its calming properties, while engaging in the relaxing activity of coloring. This practice is complemented by soothing music that fills the room, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Residents employ breathing techniques to enhance their mindfulness journey, allowing the simple act of coloring to transport them to a tranquil state of mind. This communal activity not only fosters relaxation but also encourages a sense of community and well-being among the residents.

A big welcome to our guests tonight at Meer and Coville! Two events at two locations — both offering new families the chance to meet and greet our staff, talk with resident ambassadors, and tour our communities.

At Meer Independent Living Apartments in West Bloomfield, we’re hosting a patio event featuring live jazz, summer mocktails, and delicious appetizers to sample.
