Would your team be interested in participating in a pilot internship for a LOCAL graduate student? We are seeking both a hospital (for 300 hours) and a community-based setting (for 300 hours) in hopes of providing an incredible internship experience that doesn't require students to relocate! Each student who is working with me is HIGHLY recommended, having completed or is actively completing a Child Life Community Practicum with me.

We're not looking for a commitment yet - just an opportunity to discuss and explore whether this is an opportunity that would work well for your team! My team can provide the ACLP curriculum and other supports, or we can share that role! This is an IDEAL scenario for smaller teams and/or newer CCLS' who want to start supporting students with the support of an experienced internship supervisor!

Calling academics: Child Life coursework isn't just for future CCLS' - these are for anyone working with children and families! MD, PA, NP, RN, PT, OT, SLP, LCSW, MFT, General/Special Educators...your students will work with children coping with medical challenges/trauma, so these classes are also designed for your students!

By adding 3-4 new academic courses to your programming offerings, you can prepare your students to provide the best supports for the children and families they work with! Plus, you can give them a new professional option by meeting ACLP (Association of Child Life Professionals) required courses for child life certification eligibility!
