Manual therapy is just one piece of the puzzle, and when it’s paired with targeted exercise and movement, that’s when the real progress happens. The goal isn’t just to feel better in the moment, but to get you back to doing what you love most, whether that’s hitting the trails or the slopes, playing with your kids or grandkids, or getting back out in the garden.

Longterm treatment for patellar tendinopathy focuses on more than just easing the pain, it’s about fixing the root cause. A big part of recovery is strengthening the surrounding muscles and tissues so your knee can handle the demands you put on it.

Patellar tendinopathy is typically diagnosed right in the clinic, no imaging needed. If you're feeling pain just below your kneecap during activity, especially jumping or running, a physical exam and your symptom history are usually enough to confirm it. While imaging can show tendon changes, it’s rarely necessary to start treatment. Most of the time, your pain tells us everything we need to know!

Patellar Tendinopathy usually starts as pain just below the kneecap and can build over time if left untreated. The good news? With the right approach you can get back to doing what you love! If this sounds familar, come see me 👋🏻

Posture isn’t the villain it’s made out to be 👀 In fact, the perfect posture doesn’t really exist. BUT, if you’re stuck in one position all day and it’s causing pain or limiting your ability to move freely, that’s when it becomes a problem. The solution? Keep moving. Change positions. Get into a better posture for some amount of time. Build strength there.
