It was a great sense of community as we gathered at the Arthur Community Centre for a fun spirited game of hockey between Wellington North Fire Service and on Sunday afternoon.

We were happy and so very grateful to see so many in the stands cheering the teams on.

Thank you to Kevin and Eric for planning the event from start to finish and to all who took part in the game.

It always means so much to watch the players, referees and timekeepers come together, playing the game that Steve loved, in support of such an important cause. Thank you all so very much!

Stealing the show during the first intermission were the way too cute Viper Tim Bits 💛🖤. It’s so fun to watch these little ones and see how easily they grasp the hockey concept at such a young age. Thank you so very much for joining us for our charity game!

As always, we wouldn’t be where we are without the help of our event sponsors and we are so very grateful to them for their contributions and continued support.

A big shout out to the following:

Amie King-Tedesco
Andy Culp and his business Lift Tech
Anonymous donors
Bloem Cupcakes
Brendan and Quinn Gorecki
CW Sports
Emma Bryan and Kyle McEachern (McEachern Construction)
Five for Snacking
Paula Coffey Interiors
Pauline and Allen Mainland
Shelly Kirkpatrick

Much gratitude as well to the arena staff that day for their flexibility and helpfulness.

And finally, our amazing volunteer committee continues to jump in and help when and as needed and I can’t thank them enough for their presence, ongoing commitment and dedication.

It definitely takes a community and we are so very thankful that we are surrounded by one of the best 💛

Proceeds from the game were donated to The Grove Youth Hubs (through CMHA Waterloo Wellington)
