Through our dedicated Addiction Medicine program, OIM provides compassionate, evidence-based care to support patients struggling with substance use disorders. Our team offers inpatient consults, treatment management, and continuity of care to guide patients on their journey to recovery—while also reducing ED readmissions and improving long-term outcomes.

Our Addiction Medicine services include:

✔️ Development of protocols like COWS & CIWA
✔️ Creation of order sets & SOPs
✔️ Micro-dosing and Suboxone induction plans
✔️ Use of SUD Navigators to connect patients with community partners for rehabilitation and support

Mental health is health—and that includes addressing addiction with empathy, clinical excellence, and long-term solutions. This Mental Health Month, we're proud to be part of the change.

At Orlando Internal Medicine, we know that sticking to your New Year's resolutions can be tough, but setting realistic, specific goals can set you up for success. Here are some tips to help you stay on track and achieve your wellness goals in 2025:

Be Specific: Instead of vague goals like "get healthy," define clear targets. Work with your healthcare provider to define a plan that’s tailored to your needs.

Be Realistic: Start small and build from there. Small, consistent changes lead to lasting results!

Track Your Progress: Stay motivated by tracking your progress. Whether it’s using a fitness tracker or noting how much money you’ve saved by not buying unhealthy snacks, tracking helps reinforce your commitment.

Don’t Let Perfection Hold You Back: You don’t have to be perfect to make progress. If you slip up, don’t get discouraged.

Celebrate Milestones: Set smaller goals along the way and celebrate when you achieve them.

This year, let’s work together to make 2025 the year of wellness! If you need guidance on how to achieve your health goals, our team at Orlando Internal Medicine is here to help. We are committed to supporting your journey toward better health and well-being.
