Join us this Sunday 10th November, 11am, as we rally in King George Square before marching to demand our government cut ties with Israel.

Recently the Municipality of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza has declared the town a disaster area amid weeks of relentless Israeli bombardment and military siege.

Human Rights Watch (HRW) says it has documented three attacks involving “apparent war crimes” in which the Israeli army “unlawfully” struck medical workers and healthcare facilities in Lebanon. Australia's complicity in these war crimes must end NOW.

Think Global Act Local - how do we build power through grassroots organising to disrupt global systems arming and supporting the genocide of the Palestinian people and destruction of Lebanon?

In the face of adversity we do not back down, we rise, time and time again and we are fuelled by the ongoing Palestinian resistance. We need to continue to demand liberation for Palestine. Boycott, Divest and Sanctions now! We will not stop until Palestine is free! ❤🖤🤍💚

The Social Policy Group will conduct Referendum Community Information Sessions for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities across Australia, with the aim of helping all eligible voters participate in the first referendum held in more than 20 years.

The session provides information on what a referendum is, why you should vote, how you can vote, and other important information for the community to participate in.

Introducing the
FORMALLY EVER AFTER Formal Ticket Fund Project 🧡
What is it ?
It's a little extra way we can support some year 12 students to attend their formals
I realised that even if we can gift our students a formal outfit there are still some students who simply can't pay for their formal tickets
Did you know a formal ticket can range between $110 and $200 on average but I've had students with even higher tickets
This alone can make it impossible for some students to even consider coming to me for an outfit
Many supporters over the years have asked to donate cash to me and I always say no . But this Fund can mean people can donate directly to a school account we've organised to go to help a student in need of a little extra support
I've approached 3 local schools and been chatting about the difference I feel our Formally Ever After village can make to some students
Students who don't have any other funding available , who sit in the classroom and just say 'nah I don't wanna go '
They do want to ..they just know it's not doable
How do you ask your parents for money for a formal ticket when you watch your parents cry over how to afford food and rent

So I thought why not try this and see how we go , we have a huge village here 🧡

Our trial will be with the 3 High schools listed below to start and we can add more as we see how it goes
1. Mabel Park State High School
2. Kingston State College
3. Woodridge State High School

If you are keen to donate any amount of money , it can be $5 , it can be $100 .... please send me a message , tell me which school/ schools and I'll give you the information you need to help us make some young adults dreams come true 🧡

The youths we help will be decided on by selected members of each school
, carefully considered
At the end of the year we will be told how many students we've helped from each individual school

Also a big thank you to all our schools for the fundraising they do to lower costs . Formals are huge events that do cost alot of money , venues , caterers , etc . It's great if we as a community can support our schools 🧡🧡

Our direct pathway to citizenship for New Zealanders is now open.

This change, which mirrors the rights that Australians enjoy in New Zealand, means that Special Category Visa-holders who have resided in Australia for at least the past four years can apply for citizenship without needing to apply for a permanent visa.
