The Holidays are upon us. Even if you are a hermit... it’s hard not to feel some sort of trigger around this time with all the heightened emotion.

Here are some ways to keep a harmonious holiday season with family.

Understanding THEIR side

When you have been chronically ill for so many years, there is a level of burn out within the family and community. What's more, friends and family don’t understand the illness because, quite honestly, WE don’t totally understand the illness either!

Maybe family feels like it’s all in your head because they see you having a good day but then crashing after an emotional interaction. They can then say: “Oh, when you get emotional, you start to have symptoms, so… it’s an emotional issue." Hmmmm... Maybe... but they are only half right.

Everyone on the planet has a physical reaction to emotional stress--everyone. Our bodies go into a "fight or flight" response with both real and imagined stresses. The difference for those of us with chronic illness and sensitivities is when we go into fight or flight, we have zero reserves to bounce back.

When we experience emotional upset, our nervous system/endocrine system cascades downward, tanking our immunity, allowing pathogens to grow, and we become symptomatic again.

Overcoming the triggers

It’s best to diffuse the possible triggers in the situation by telling family members about how you are feeling right up front. Tell them that you love them. Tell them you are having a challenging day and can take care of yourself.

Ideally, something like this:

"Hi (Mom, Dad, Friend, relative) I am having a challenging day today. I just want you to know that I may be up and down, and if I have a tone, I’m sorry. I love you. I know how to take care of myself. It’s not your responsibility; I don't need you to fix it. Just looking for your love and support. I’ll visit as long as I can. I love seeing you."

Telling people upfront and letting them off the hook before either of you gets triggered can be very powerful. If you need help, be very specific: "Could you pick up something from the store?... Help me vacuum or give me a ride?... etc). Speak clearly and confidently. Stay out of speaking like the victim. That will only trigger them.

If they react poorly, ask yourself what you wished they would say instead. Give that to yourself and walk away.

We have to remember that it can be excruciating to be around a sick person that you love. Our loved ones want us to be better. They miss how we used to be. And they feel helpless because they can’t fix it (and maybe a little bit guilty). You feeling sick is a big loss for them too. Do your best to listen. They have a side in this.

Also, remember that it’s possible that your illness reminds them of their own fragility and health issues that perhaps they are ignoring.

Many people are in denial of their own unhealthy habits, and sometimes they can feel inconvenienced by your special needs. Oh well.

Stay strong: "No, I can’t eat gluten. Still. Thank you though. It looks great.”

Save your energy (avoid conflict)

To avoid the food battle, eating your "safe food" at home is always a good idea, as well as bringing your own dish to the event. We will bringing our "Treat-ments" (Figgy Fudge Balls and Pumpkin Pudding Pie).

It's a good idea to arrive early and leave early so you don’t dip too much (especially if you're sensitive to groups of people and your auntie's perfume!).

Remember humor— it’s your greatest tool. Keep it light. And obviously, avoiding long discussions about your health and politics would be wise. Try sharing your current favorite funny youtube videos instead.

And finally, if despite all your efforts it all goes haywire, then know you did your best and you can laugh about it with like-minded people.

Our Fall Sessions is open now -- come inside and meet others like you. --> https://lymelesslivemore.com/fall/

If you decide to sit out the holiday chaos, we hope you can enjoy the peace and the quiet sparkle in the air. There is so much to be grateful for.

Thanks and praise,

xo Dana and Brent

PS... Please remember that emotional balance is easier to attain when our bodies are physically in tune. And vice-versa. That's what we are up to in this Session. https://lymelesslivemore.com/fall/

Universal Love ❤️

Oh, Love. Let me count the ways... Love comes in so many forms… romantic, family, community, and even self-love. But arguably the most important love is even greater than all of us. Universal Love.

Universal Love is not an emotion, but rather, a frequency.

You’ve heard people say that emotion follows thought. What if we took that one step further...

What precedes thought? Answer: frequency. What does that even mean?

Well, simple really. You know the feeling when you hold a baby (preferably one that isn’t crying ; ) or a puppy— do you notice how still you become inside? Do you notice that you start talking baby talk? You go to their level... to their innocence — outside of mind and ego.

This is where the purest love lives.

Or conversely, when you are in an environment of negativity and stress — you feel contracted, thoughts shift and lower emotions follow. Or if you watch a dark movie you notice that "energy field” lingers. You are still in the same room where you were holding the baby earlier, nothing has changed other than you just invited in a different frequency.

We are constantly “entraining” — matching up with the energy fields around us. Why not choose LOVE. To me, Universal Love is synonymous with Innocence, Grace, Unconditional Love, and Divinity.

And what is the result of matching up with Universal Love? A relaxed body that can heal, regenerate, and a beautiful life that follows.

Sound good to you?

Here are 7 ways to connect with Universal Love frequency:

Look for it. It’s always there no matter the circumstances; ask yourself... What is beautiful about this moment?

Call it in— Pray and ask for signs that LOVE is near.

Be of service— Not feeling any LOVE? Help someone that is worse off. Being of service opens you to be a vehicle of Love and Grace.

Shift your thoughts— If you are feeling low emotions… examine your thoughts and question their validity. This is reverse engineering your way back to a LOVE field.

Movement— Try Chi-Gong, Dance, or Walking... movement interrupts the negative patterns and invites in higher emotions.

Bathe in sound— Music and Sound healing is a shortcut/direct access to LOVE frequency.

Connect with others in a healing LOVE-generating field like Our Winter Sessions— open February 21-March 21.

Home Stretch into Spring!! 🌈❤️(Winter Sessions 2023)

Are you feeling the Winter blues? That kind of blah feeling? This last month of Winter can be particularly challenging.

Maybe you overindulged during the holidays and beyond. And maybe you haven’t felt that spark for life in a while.

Being cold and indoors too much can be hard on everyone – especially those of us dealing with a chronic illness.

Now is a perfect time to reset. But where to start?… With us, no big goal planning, just getting back to the basics.

In the Winter we look at how to support our kidneys and adrenals. Oh yeah, they need some serious LOVE.

It all starts with exquisite self-care and gathering energy and strength.

Our Winter Sessions will open February 21.

4 weeks of group-supported self-care, self-expression, and self-empowerment.🥰

We all do it... Eat or drink just a little too much over the holidays. It feels so good to celebrate, but the food coma or hangover can be painful.

Here are a few reminders of how to offset the “too much fun” you may have had.

Thinking of you today as for many this is the official start to holidays.

Let’s enjoy and be grateful for all we have and all we CAN do.

It’s hard to imagine that it’s been 2 years since we connected. For that we are truly sorry.

SO much has changed and yet, the things that matter most at this time are the foundations of LLLM — love, light and community heart.

There is so much to say and catch up on.

We're kinda feeling a Fall Session again. Are you up for it?

Miss y'all...

California -- Is a hot mess! Literally.

Hi friends, reaching out to you from hot, smokey and vacant Northern California.

I know the world has been turned upside down since CV.

Sure hope you are managing ok.

Sending you all soothing love energies.

And wondering if you wouldn’t mind sending some cool blue, healing love over to California. It feels apocalyptic in CA. Very few stores are open. Lines around the block. People wearing masks, but the wrong ones for smoke. Ugh.

It’s been an incredibly challenging time. Toxic smoke from many raging fires has me shut in without access to nature for 2.5 weeks. Two air purifiers full tilt still doesn’t get all the smoke. The world outside literally is a coal mine. And this EMF riddled apartment is no safe haven for a canary.

AND… no AC means the apartment gets up to 100 degrees inside. It feels like checkmate. How do I cope you ask? As always: I do the best with what I have. Practice gratitude (Austin Air purifier is my savior—get one!) and allow myself to lose it once in a while. I also have my Van ready (that’s it on the bottom right of the pic) so I can drive in the AC to the clearest place possible. Even though the Van has mold I am grateful to be able get out.

Good news is the fires are mostly contained at this point… and the smoke will clear eventually. Just like life. My exercise in this has been a deeper surrender and laser focus on what matters most. From the ashes I am pulling that which cannot be burned. I am left with love and connection. That’s where you come in.

The now (Late) Late Summer Sessions will open Sept. 10.
Details coming soon.

Let’s do this.

JUST US 🙌🏻

Wow. What a state we are in —eh?

The old “chronic dis-eases” of our society becoming acute and rising to the surface to be healed.

The world is coming to AN end. It always is. An endless Rise and Fall. And, like any good healing crisis, things get worse before they get better.

We are watching old broken systems dying and new ones being born out of necessity. Sometimes change comes quickly but mostly it’s a slow grind to turn that old ship around. But hey, we know all about that.

A new world is emerging and we are on the forefront because through our struggle, we have learned we can’t rely on others to heal us. We’ve had to take full responsibility for our own health and mental well being.

We know that the only way to save the world is one body, one person, one heart at a time.

And the positive actions we take on a personal level is what makes the difference globally.

When we pull back and take the long view, we see that the “Us vs Them” mentality only causes damage—even at the level of microorganisms.

We see that we are ONE Earth, ONE people, and ONE biome. We see there is no other—it’s JUST US. And we are either in harmony or not.

Often when we first get diagnosed with Lyme we learn all we can about this pathogen “attacking” our bodies.

We make plan after plan about how we will wage a war against this invader:

ME against IT.

Over time we can exhaust ourselves just by being in fight mode. Eventually, wisdom tells us that it's not me against it. It's just me. I'm a microbiome out of balance. And recovery is more of a lifestyle shift than a quick battle.

Lyme (and all illnesses) wake us up and make us cherish the smallest things and demands we live a simpler life.

In our “Spring Into Summer” Sessions, we actually don’t go in-depth about Lyme and co-infections, but instead, we focus on how we can make ourselves stronger.

Inside we explore:

How we can remove the toxins that make these pathogens thrive

How we can steadily and gently bring our bodies into balance

How we can shift our perspective so we begin producing a health generating chemistry and not a destructive stressful one

Our programs are about building the Foundations of Health and returning to homeostasis. We pull back from over-identifying with illness and re-align ourselves with life itself.

We will be with you the whole way to answer your questions, support you, and share tools that last a lifetime.

We hope to meet you inside.

25/05/2020

Hello you,

I apologize for the delay in connecting through all the craziness. Though I haven’t been in touch, I have been sending you energetic hugs and support.

Like many of you, this time has been very challenging especially since my “shelter in place” is toxic, and it’s taken its toll on my health.

What’s worse is the access to my safe zone in the Redwoods is closed.

I have been feeling for those of you that are stuck in apartment living with limited access to nature as well. Honestly, not healthy. You are not making it up.

Through the painful process of being blocked from off-grid (low EMF) time in the forest, I have become even stronger mentally and spiritually.

And... crystal clear that Illness is environmental. How can it not be? We ARE the environment. And when the environment isn’t supporting our bodies then we become weakened by it.

To those of you who may be in a less than optimal environment, relationship and/or feeling stuck by our current global situation, please remember…

“Start where you are. Do what you can. Use what you have.”

Never before has this statement been more true.

Now is the time we are refining our skills and becoming more and more resourceful with what is right in front of us.

I considered pausing this session but then realized that The Spring Session is so important at this moment in time. The session is about simplifying our lives. It’s about looking to see where we are angry and blaming others. It’s about taking inventory on what is priority in our lives and knowing how we serve.

And even more timely… the Spring into Summer session is about gently cleansing the LIVER.

If the environment is polluting and weakening our immune systems then the mighty Liver (our greatest filter) is key to immune health.

(Orientation and Prep Week opens May 31)

It will be great to spend some time with you again.

Much love,

xo Dana
