Last day of training brought us together exploring an immersive and interactional model based on the use of interfaces that detect the observer’s movements and gestures, and processing images and videos to create puzzles of self-image. With gratitude, we have said our goodbyes. Thank you, Atlas Centre, for hosting us!

In June, we held two more workshops at our school. First, the students read the story "Mira, Mira – Putting on Weight." It tells the story of a teenage girl who is overweight, which affects her self-confidence and causes her to withdraw from others. Her classmates make fun of her, and in her distress, she begins to harm herself physically. When the teachers notice her struggles, they refer her to the school psychologist. Eventually, Mira joins a camp for children facing similar challenges, where she finds new friends and regains her self-confidence.

Together with the students, we discussed the story — what they thought about it, how they would offer support, and where they would turn for help in a time of crisis.

The next workshop focused on creatively expressing the story. The students made a collage showing what Mira was like before and after her experience. To conclude, each student wrote on a post-it note what helps them feel calm, what gives them a sense of safety, and what they wish for when they are in distress.

SREČANJE, KI GA BOMO OHRANILI V SRCU

Včeraj smo obiskali Osnovno šolo Simona Gregorčiča Kobarid in doživeli prav poseben dan. Otroci so namreč v pristnejšem stiku z naravo – slišijo jo, razumejo jo in znajo njeno sporočilo prenesti v sliko in besedo.

Ravno zato so otroci iz vse Slovenije postali ilustratorji nove eko-knjige "Z naravo v objemu". Njihov trud ni ostal neopažen – vsak mali umetnik je za nagrado prejel svoj izvod knjige.

Verjamemo, da si bodo ta dan zapomnili za vedno. In kar je najpomembneje – ohranili bodo odprto srce za sporočila narave.

A VISIT FOREVER KEPT IN OUR HEARTS

Yesterday, we visited the Simona Gregorčiča Primary School in Kobarid and experienced a truly special day. Children are in a more genuine connection with nature – they hear it, understand it, and know how to translate its message into images and words.

That is precisely why children from all over Slovenia became the illustrators of the new eco-themed children's book “Embraced by Nature.” Their efforts did not go unnoticed – each young artist was rewarded with a personal copy of the book.

We believe this is a day they will always remember. And most importantly – they will keep their hearts open to nature's messages.

In May, we held a workshop with students on the topic of death and grieving. We read a story titled The Star on the Blanket. Afterwards, we discussed the loss of close family members and the ways in which people grieve. The students shared their own experiences. The workshop was a success, and we realized that death and grieving are topics that are still too rarely addressed in schools.
