Real resilience comes from stopping giving away your power to thoughts!

Here's a 2 minute video on how to stop giving your power to thoughts so you can experience presence, calm and clarity.

When HR burns out, the ripple isn’t just internal; it shakes trust across the whole system.

HR isn’t just a function.
It’s the stabiliser of the whole system. When they're overwhelmed, the cracks spread everywhere.

HR is often expected to be the shock absorber for the entire organisation.

Having worked in HR, I can see how easily we normalised carrying the emotional weight of whole organisations while having no safe place to put it down.

It’s a slow burn that builds quietly over time, often unnoticed until the damage is done.

And by the time it shows up, the nervous system is stuck in survival mode.

That’s why another resilience tool or coping strategy can only take you so far.

❤️ What’s needed is a total reset of the nervous system — from the inside out.

That’s exactly what the HR Burnout Reset is designed to do.

It’s a live, 90-minute, neuroscience-backed session that helps you reset your mind and body at the level where burnout actually starts — the nervous system.

Together, we’ll gently begin to rewire the unconscious patterns that keep you in overdrive.

You’ll calm your system, clear your mind, and reconnect with the clarity and energy that allow you to stay in the career you love.

Because when HR is supported, the whole organisation thrives.

This is your invitation to pause — not to stop caring, but to start restoring.

Here are the upcoming live 90-minute sessions...

✅ Tues 5 Nov — 8:00 am
✅ Wed 6 Nov — 12:00 pm
✅ Thurs 7 Nov — 7:00 pm

"I have to say I left the session feeling very relaxed, and I noticed a significant difference in how I felt. It was a really positive experience. You are not required to divulge any sensitive or personal information. It's a very private and painless experience and Sara put us at ease. Thanks so much Sara - really great session" - Cathy, L&D Director

If I asked your team right now:
“What kind of signals does your manager send out?”
What would they say?

Would they tell me:
“She makes time for me. I feel like I matter.”
Or would it be:
“He’s always busy. His door’s closed. I never know if I’m interrupting.”

Most managers never stop to think about the energy they’re walking into a room with.
But it speaks volumes before they’ve even said a word.

I say this all the time in our Mental Health Awareness Training for Managers.

You’re always sending a signal.
The question is—do you know what it is?

Your energy. Your body language.
Whether you make eye contact or rush straight into tasks.
It all creates an experience for your team.

And if your team doesn’t feel safe, seen, or supported…
It doesn’t matter how great your strategy is. You’ll lose them.

So here’s your invitation this week:

✅ Be the calmest person in the room - and watch what shifts
✅ Ask one team member how they really doing - and don't fill the silence
✅ Don't wait for a crisis to check in - consistency builds trust

That’s what changes team culture.

If this is the kind of leadership you want to grow in your organisation, drop me a message. Let’s talk.

If you were really struggling… how would you want your manager to respond?

This is one of the first questions I ask in our Mental Health Training for Managers.
And it always lands.

Because this work isn’t about getting it right or being perfect. It's about being human.

Here are 4 simple strategies that make a real difference in how supported your team feels:

🔹 1. Show empathy
Not sympathy. Not advice.
Empathy is presence.
It’s the ability to listen without rushing in to fix.
That’s what helps people feel safe enough to open up.

🔹 2. Do regular check-ins
Make time for human conversations, not just project updates.
Ask, “How are you doing?” and mean it.
You don’t have to wait for someone to be visibly struggling to check in.

🔹 3. Normalise mental health
The more openly you talk about mental health, the more psychologically safe your team feels.
When people feel they can be human at work, that’s when performance naturally improves.

🔹 4. Be consistent
Check in regularly, not just when something looks off.
Wellbeing conversations shouldn’t be reserved for moments of crisis.
Let your team know you care, even when everything seems “fine.”

This is how we lead better.
With presence, not perfection.

It’s easy to say HR is hard because of the restructures. Or the long hours. Or the constant ER drama.
But you and I both know—that’s not the full story.

The real weight?
It’s the stuff no one sees.

The politics.
The power plays.
The meetings where everyone’s 'performing'.
The emotional pressure that builds—because you’re the one people turn to when it all falls apart.

You’ve probably had moments where you wanted to scream:
“This isn’t in the job description.”
And yet… here you are. Still showing up. Still holding space. Still doing the work.

I remember what it’s like to be the calm in the chaos.
To carry the emotional load for a whole division.
To want to do meaningful, proactive work, but spend your days firefighting instead.

Not because you’re not capable.
But because the system doesn’t give you breathing room.
Because no one trained you for the energetic toll of this role.
Because half the time, the leaders you’re supporting haven’t been trained either.

I’m not here to tell you how hard HR is.
You already know.

I’m here to say:
If it’s felt heavy lately…
you’re not imagining it.

And you’re not alone.

03/07/2025

HR, this was never in the job description;

- A director in tears, telling you his wife is suicidal, and he can’t risk leaving her to come into work.
- The 4th employee death by su***de... and suddenly you’re the crisis lead.
- The emotional fallout from a merger no one saw coming, where the team turns to you for answers you don’t have.

And yet, somehow, you keep showing up. Holding it together.

Because that’s what HR does, right?

Wrong.

We’re not supposed to be emotional sponges for the entire organisation.

But that’s what happens when there’s no space to process what’s really going on.

👉 When we push it down, we don’t just carry stress—we wire our nervous system for survival.

That’s when you start leading from a place of hypervigilance instead of power.
Reaction instead of clarity.
Exhaustion instead of grounded presence.

You don’t have to live in survival mode.

There’s another way.
A way back to your centre. Your clarity.
What I call energetic sovereignty—where your nervous system is regulated, your emotions are honoured, and you lead from truth.

🎥 I’ve created a free 25-minute training video specifically for HR professionals like you.

❤️ The ones holding space for everyone else, who need someone to hold space for them.

⚡️ You’ve studied every leadership style going — but have you ever audited your Energetic Signature?

The truth: whatever you say in a meeting is dwarfed by what you transmit before you open your mouth.

Think of the leaders everyone describes as having “that certain something, or a presence about them.”

🔥 That something is their energetic signature.

👇 In the final episode of my four-part “Prevent HR Burnout” series we step into my favourite topic: Energetic Sovereignty.

Because this is where a whole new paradigm of HR leadership begins.

In ten punchy minutes you’ll discover:

💥 What energetic sovereignty really is — and why you can’t lead effectively without it
🌡 Why your signature energy drives culture faster than any policy ever will
🧠 How to stop giving your power away to unconscious patterns
🙏🏼 Why presence isn’t just a nice-to-have — it’s your most powerful leadership asset
❤️ What it means to lead culture from the inside out

🔥 HR Directors, Your Brain Can Handle the Boardroom—But Can Your Nervous System?

Strategic off-sites, 12-hour decks, three “quick” crises before lunch: that’s a Tuesday.

But the real reason you’re drained, depleted and experiencing HR Burnout isn’t workload—it’s an unregulated nervous system stuck in permanent emergency mode.

👇 Part 3 of my four-part series rips the lid off the mindset myth and puts the body back in the HR burnout conversation.

⚡ What You’ll Get in this 12 minute mini master class...

Why classic HR training fails: Resilience workshops & stress-management toolkits can’t rewire survival biology.

The Nervous System 101 HR never taught you: your body’s real KPI dashboard.

Templates on loop: perfectionism, people-pleasing, control—how they hijack HR Professionals.

Red-flag symptoms: numbness, micro-managing, “always on” fatigue masquerading as commitment.

Why tools don’t stick when chaos runs the show—and the upgrade path that does.

“If we’re not regulating the nervous system, we’ll default to the same survival patterns—no matter how much mindset work we do.”

💥 HR People....
The board wants numbers.
Your team wants answers.
And somewhere between the 8 AM strategy call and the 9 PM “quick” deck tweak…you realise you haven’t exhaled all day.

If that snapshot feels scarily accurate, Part 2 of my HR burnout series is the pattern-interrupt you need.👇

❝Self-Awareness: The Shift That Ends Silent Burnout❞

HR exhaustion isn’t just workload.
It’s the invisible conditioning that says you must be flawless, always on, perfect, eternally available — even when the cost is you.

In this 10-minute episode, I unpack:

🔍 The unconscious conditioning driving HR burnout (I ran it for years).
📊 How 95-98 % of your day is steered by autopilot — not strategy.
🚨 Why “survival mode” masquerades as productivity and steals your edge.
⚡ A first-step lens to spot the pattern before it hijacks your leadership.

Because if you’re not consciously creating your experience, you’re unconsciously accepting it — and that’s exactly how burnout keeps winning.
