DEFENDING THE VIRUS FAMILY
“Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I am Mr. Bernard Morton the attorney representing my clients the Virus family in these proceedings. As you may know, we endeavored to find a venue for this trial that would not be prejudicial to my clients. The media, with its sensationalism and desire to promulgate an illogical hypothesis, has created a global atmosphere that would mitigate a fair hearing in any court of the world. Now, ladies and gentlemen, you have heard all the convoluted evidence against my client these past several months. The prosecution would implicate my clients and accuse them of all matters of evil diseases, including: rabies, smallpox, poliomyelitis, AIDS, Zika, Ebola, and Wuhan. In essence, they are portrayed as Pandora responsible for all diseases that have been known to civilizations since the time of plagues in the diaspora of Exodus. To defend them we are not going to present testimony of innocence. The standard is not to prove a negative but rather to show the virus hypothesis is a belief system that is erroneous since its inception.
“My clients are virtual, identified only by exclusion, and do not exist in reality. The very existence of the Virus family is ephemeral. They have never been found as they have no actual three dimensional finite structure nor actual weight. They are the product of technology and exist only in a theoretical construct. This conclusion is obvious when based on logic and common sense. The need to attribute causes of disease to my clients is preposterous. The Virus family is being singled out as the primary cause of diseases only because there are no other explanations available. This is tantamount to circumstantial evidence and causation by fiat. That is not science nor is it proof of causation beyond a shadow of a doubt.
“The prosecution offers test data that confirms the presence of antibodies being equivalent to the finite presence of a member of the Virus family. How absurd! Antibodies are present as our natural endowments from the genetic line of ancestry transmitted from the mother to the fetus to defend against and neutralize foreign pathogens. There are no specialized antibodies that lay in wait anticipating the particular member of a Virus family yet to attack. Antibodies are responsive to attacks in a general sense depending on the strength and characteristics of the attacker to surround it in few or in great numbers to keep it at bay.
“Antibodies are protein derivatives that are seemingly imbued with a function to protect. How that function comes about is through exposure to alien elements which would presuppose or attribute a memory function or brain to them! However, that being the case, it is a faulty memory at best for sometimes they are known to turn against friendly cells of the body and establish an “autoimmune disease!” Some scientists would even blame the Virus family for creating such a disease entity. Testing for the presence of antibodies becomes futile as there is no direct correlation that a Virus caused any putative disease just because antibodies were found!
“After birth and separation from the placenta the infant will be exposed to foreign elements such as proteinaceous matter which may be harmful. To that exposure the healthy infant will respond with the creation of newer defense forms from what is called the immune system or antibody production centers to create more specific kinds of antibodies that can be incorporated to sustain and maintain future health, integrity and thereby, immunity.
“Now, to design a test to prove the finite presence of a member of the Virus family perpetrated the crime of disease we must find antibodies surrounding the finite structure or piece of that structure contained within. A Positive Test would indicate the presence, and a Negative Test would indicate the opposite, absence! Antibody testing, although an indirect method, must be employed because direct testing for Virus could only be accomplished by use of a cumbersome electron microscope process. “If the glove don’t fit you must acquit!”
“No member of my client’s family was ever shown to be present at any disease scene yet the prejudicial accusations persisted. Researchers started hunting down this poor family until reports began to surface announcing their sightings everywhere.
My client and his family lived in persecution for centuries until the so called ‘Era of Modern Medicine’ decided that my client was responsible for plagues, epidemics and pandemics. They became famous in the media as pariahs. Industries sprang up to produce products to defend against them as the cashing in began. Rules were enacted by government to control Virus proliferation to the detriment of human freedoms. The psychoanalysis of Virus in its ego, superego and id became postulated as to how it was motivated, thought and acted.
“Even before the invention of the microscope in 1674, allegations marked the Virus family as criminals responsible for causing diseases that could not be seen under any microscope in the land! In fact, there could be no direct identification of the accused. There was absolutely no technology available at any time to directly identify my clients. They were never identified at the scene of any disease, nor did they have any motive for creating diseases as they were not malevolent. They were supposedly found in the non-cellular extracts that passed through rather primitive porcelain filters and identified as containing a Virus! How would that be possible without modern technology?
“You have heard these scientists testify that any member of the Virus family is inert, a parasite obligated to live within a living cell. I would emphasize, within the graces and provisions of a living cell. How offensive it must be to be called a parasite. Thus, to be a Virus is to live within a living cell. Well, I ask the jury, where did any Virus live before entering a living cell? In fact, how was life sustainable for the Virus family before becoming a parasite to a host cell? You would say a Virus had two forms- one inert without life and the other an active dependent parasite. Would the jury advise the inert form to be harmless then?
“We have heard from the scientists who use technology every day. They all testified that in order to view a member of the Virus family preparation for the electron microscope is necessary. Preparation indeed! This is not a harmless procedure to be bombarded with heavy metals and dried out. Because it certainly does alter their appearance so they can be mistaken for some monster killer. And, then be placed or found inside a living cell? Where were Viruses found before this damn placement anyway? They had no alibi. They just appeared some would lead you to believe. Surely, my clients would have to have been isolated, purified and identified before gaining entrance into that cell before being indicted for a crime of epidemic proportions.
“It wasn’t until about 1986 that PCR (polymer chain reaction) made them more visible by amplifying their parts. Then again, these amplified parts would have to be placed on a slide in a vacuum in order to be visualized under an electron microscope.
Have we neglected to say that no living cell can survive in a vacuum and therefore Virus and all living cells would be dead? How then would one distinguish Virus from the dead, formerly alive, now processing destroyed cells?
“No, researchers instead create a pointillism representation of electrons passing through the field and scatter to be projected onto a 2-D screen which later becomes animated in 3-D. This, a veritable cartoon image, they determine are my clients! When did they ever take a tweezers grasp piece of the particle supposedly known in reality and prior to its technofication? That could never be done because the mass of the “sample” assumed under investigation is placed onto the Scanning SEM’s vacuum chamber stage is 1 X 10-15th power. How would they identify a Virus without ever isolating it as a quintillionth size prototypic one? This would give pause to reconsider the idea the earliest discoverers of a Virus family used primitive technology; a pressurized filter system to do today’s research.
“The prosecution has not shown my clients were ever isolated and purified. They were neither seen entering any living cell nor identified directly by any eyewitness to the alleged disease. As a matter of fact, all diseases attributed to my client and his family is fallacious. There is no evidence that they exist in reality. They exist in a hypothetical world because scientists need to have a whipping boy to prove the finite existence of Virus and their theory of disease causation.
“There are other families of contagion including bacteria, toxicity, poisons, chemicals and genetic factors that are the true causation of what the prosecution accuses. The Virus family stands here now indicted by an illogical hypothesis of science that has stood unchallenged for centuries; indicted and accused of crimes they did not commit long before historical technology and belief systems would incriminate them. The Virus family is innocent. Only the need, greed and hypothetical theory made them culpable. Blame needed to be assigned for that which history did not understand or know; they stand accused!
“The media may have influenced your judgment by presenting epidemiologists and other experts insisting that their statistics and risk factors actually dictate the daily lifestyle of Virus. To that end, I assure you that no Virus member has ever been psychologically analyzed to determine criminality. However, Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, you must determine with your common sense and logic if diseases were actually caused by my clients. Or, was it possibly a representation of them – a technology driven method that scientists concluded to be the cause of disease?
