We were delighted to host Amanda Griffith-Atkins last night at the GENEROC.I.T.Y. Toy Shop and online as we discussed our 2025 "You Gotta Read This!" book selection: "How to Handle More Than You Can Handle."

She validates ALL the emotions involved with raising a child with a disability and has the personal & professional background to provide meaningful insight to the journey. If you missed the live discussion, we JUST uploaded her talk to C.I.T.Y.'s on-demand learning portal:

It's finally time to announce the OPENING of our physical location!
What an incredible milestone for C.I.T.Y!

Thank you for your patience as we waited for construction to be completed over the summer. We are currently finishing the process of moving in, and pending village approval, we should be able to officially open sometime next week...stay tuned!

The best way to stay informed is to read through email updates and to follow us on our GENEROC.I.T.Y. Toy Shop Facebook and Instagram Pages ().

Our free community programs, affordable therapeutic enrichment classes, and parent groups/respite opportunities are all open for registration in our Fall Class Catalog (and scheduled to start on Oct. 14th!)

Visit me at the Mt. Prospect Library tomorrow morning (Tuesday, 9/30) for CITY's Developmental Playgroup from 10:30-11:30.

❤ Caregivers: this is a great way to meet other parents while your kids socialize in a low-structured, enriching environment.
❤ Providers: We are actively looking for a professional to commit to volunteering for this playgroup (1 hour/month on the last Tuesday). It's a fun, easy, and rewarding way to participate in our CITY. PM me for more info!
