(Didn't get to post this yesterday, but still important to share!!!)

Happy World Autism Awareness Day everyone!! In honor of today, I'd like to share my favorite quote about children with autism.

"A child with autism sees things differently then we do...perceives things in a different light...can perceive things in ways we could never imagine." - (unknown?)

I love this...because it is a message that promotes positivity and puts an emphasis on the value in uniqueness, which I think can sometimes get lost in the day to day difficulties autism families may face. Everyone is different and that's what makes us beautiful!

xoxo

Hello friends!

As of today, I have an opening in my schedule for after school speech/language therapy. Any families in Westchester looking for some private sessions, send me a message or email! Similarly, feel free to share my information with those you feel may be interested, preferably in the Westchester area.

Lets chat :)

Have you ever heard the story of the chocolate chip ghost?! Ghosts can only eat things that are white, otherwise they turn different colors!

I got this craft from Sandy Toes & Popsicles (see link below). My kids LOVE this interactive story! 🙂 Visit the website below for free printables and the story of the chocolate chip ghost !

Is it just me?! My babies are in rare form today 😅 i blame yesterdays snow day. Nothing like hitting some “ice” with “hammers” to get that extra energy all worked out! This is a great game for kids to work on taking turns and requesting pieces from friends. Break the Ice saved my life today 🙏🏼

Game shoutout!

I love Raccoon Rumpus and my babies do too! I use it all the time in my sessions. To play is super easy - roll the dice and pick an outfit for your raccoon to wear. If you roll “underwear,” all the outfits come off and you start over (my students love rolling underwear! 🤷🏼‍♀️)

You can use this game in so many ways! I use it to work on descriptive language, introducing community helpers, and making silly sentences. Its available on Amazon and it’s very reasonably priced. Try it out at home!

A little about me...

Hi everyone!

My name is Francesca and I am a pediatric speech language pathologist located in Westchester County, New York. Thanks so much for visiting my page!

Let me start by saying that I love being a SLP.

It is simply awesome and the best decision I ever made. I currently work full time at a private, integrated preschool, but before that, I worked in early intervention and traveled to my students homes or schools.
