While preparing for the legendary "Johnny B. Goode" scene in *Back to the Future* (1985), Michael J. Fox was committed to delivering an authentic performance. He spent about a month training with his guitar teacher, Paul Hanson, to perfect his technique. Fox made sure his finger movements could be synchronized with the visuals, wanting the scene to be as realistic as possible. In addition to this, he worked with a choreographer who had previously collaborated with Madonna to master signature moves from his favorite guitarists, including Pete Townshend's windmill, Jimi Hendrix’s behind-the-back style, and Chuck Berry’s famous duck walk.

Despite his doubts and the pressure to get it right, Fox pushed through and focused on the fun of the experience. He was determined to blend these iconic guitar moves into a seamless performance that would make the scene unforgettable. The process required dedication and hard work, but Fox fully embraced the challenge, giving his best effort every step of the way.

In the end, the pressure of performing was balanced by his passion and excitement to bring these legendary moves to life. By focusing on enjoying the moment and having fun, Fox captured the essence of the iconic guitarists and delivered a memorable performance that remains a highlight of the film to this day.
