Parenting and caregiving can be beautiful… and challenging. That’s why we gather each month for the All Abilities Parental & Caregiver Support Group - a welcoming space where parents and caregivers of individuals with disabilities can connect, share, and feel understood.

It’s conversation. It’s community. It’s support.

This month, we’re grateful to have:
Sharon Nusman Foster & Phyllis H Guthman from MacDonald Training Center and eMerge Career Collaborative sharing programs and services, and Tampa City Councilman Luis Viera - District 7, discussing the future of disability advocacy in government.

Still smiling from our February 12, 2026, MacDonald Training Center (MTC) Sabal Park Day Services Ribbon Cutting! ✨

We were honored to stand alongside the Brandon Riverview Chamber of Commerce, donors, community leaders, students, families, MTC Board Members, and staff as we marked this important milestone together.

We were especially honored to receive a proclamation declaring February 12 as MTC Day - recognizing our commitment to empowering adults with disabilities across Tampa Bay - a terrific day 💙

Love was in the air at Cypress Day Services! ❤️

The MacDonald Parents Group (MPG) and The Krewe of West Tampa Inc. pulled out all the stops for a joyful Valentine’s Day celebration - complete with a DJ, sweet treats, and so many smiles.

On February 11, 2026, at MacDonald Training Center (MTC), community, belonging, and joy came together.

We are deeply grateful to MPG, The Krewe of West Tampa, our incredible staff, and our amazing students for making the day unforgettable.

💻♻️ Learning by Doing — and Giving Back
During their final week before transitioning to LAUNCH at USF, our eMerge Career Collaborative Tech2Work (T2W) students wanted to leave a positive mark—and they did just that by launching an Electronics Recycling Drive to benefit MacDonald Training Center (MTC).

Students led the planning and were hands-on with intake and recycling - putting teamwork, technology, and purpose into action.

⚓💙 Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla Gives Back!

On January 27, the pirates of Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla (YMKG) brought Tampa’s favorite tradition to MacDonald Training Center's Cypress site—arriving in full garb and sharing beads, special treasures, and plenty of good cheer with Day Services participants!

We’re excited to share that MTC Day Services recently expanded at our Sabal Park location, adding 8,000 square feet of beautiful new learning areas, classrooms, and enrichment spaces - designed to support growth, creativity, and independence.

⚓💙 Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla Gives Back!

Cold weather shelters will be open tonight, Saturday, Jan. 31 and tomorrow night, Sunday, Feb. 1

❗Cold weather shelters will be open tonight, Saturday, Jan. 31 and tomorrow night, Sunday, Feb. 1❗

We are expecting temperatures to dip below 40 degrees and are activating our cold weather shelters program to help the homeless and those who live in homes without adequate heat who are unable to find other accommodations.

⌚ All shelters will take in guests from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, unless they reach capacity prior to that time.
