Sometimes, the best thing you can do is just keep going. Hold on to the things that give you hope & faith ~ and the little threads of meaning that remind you why you’re here and how you feel in your heart.

Those threads matter! Sometimes, you have to step out of your comfort zone to find them ~ and you might even discover they’ve been right in front of you all along.

It takes courage to reach for what your heart truly desires, for your growth, your healing, and your well-being. Take that leap, Trust your steps, and keep moving forward ~ the way is the way.

Foundations of Yoga Beginners’ Basics is an
introductory course to learn & to understand some of the basics of Yoga.

This course is designed to help you explore foundational asana (poses) with intelligent alignment principles, deepen body awareness through breath and energetic flow and integrate philosophy and practice to enrich daily life. It also includes essential elements such as mantra, meditation and relaxation techniques.

This evolving program is perfect for beginners or for anyone wishing to return to the essentials of yoga with greater depth, awareness, and understanding.

All Yoga equipment including mats, blocks and straps will be provided.

Come as you are. To Learn. To Practice. To nurture your body and mind. To feel into your heart and tune to your-Self.

All are welcome. We begin Friday 7 November 2025 at 9.30am at Quedgeley Village Hall, Gloucester

This practice invites you to enhance your earth energy, connecting to the grounding, stabilising force of prthvī ~ earth, during these times of change. 

Prthvī is the base, the foundation, making up the solid matter of the universe. It gives us stability and the power to ground. It represents the structures of our body temple, the solidness of our bones, muscles and flesh. 

Come to tap into your rooted, grounding  power. Anchor to the stable, steady, patient, trusting & supportive qualities of Earth in this practice.

Increasing the Earth element within the body and mind helps us to feel confident, solid, strong and well-balanced.

MAGIC MUDRA MONDAY with🔹Hakini Mudra🔹

🔹 Hakini means “power or rule”

🔹Hakini is the Goddess of the forehead, the 6th chakra and Ajna doorway awakening intuition
🔹Hakini mudra is the “Problem Solving Gesture”

🔹Connecting the fingers and thumbs in Hakini Mudra harmonises the right and left hemispheres of the brain and helps with integration of the opposites. By touching all the fingertips together, Hakini Mudra brings all five elements into alignment:-
Ring Finger - Earth
Little Finger - Water
Thumb - Fire
Index Finger - Air
Middle Finger - Space/Ether

🔹My teacher often call this mudra the “sphere of love” which I love! … also feeling into the essence of unity & connection.

🔹Try integrating Hakini Mudra into your yoga (I love doing this!) mindfulness or meditation practice to enhance your mental clarity, focus, intuition and overall cognitive function.

Connect both hands by bringing together all the fingers & thumb tips. ‘Keep the fingers, thumbs and elbows soft, rounded and receptive’
