✨The lipid skin barrier is a layer of lipids, ceramides, and fatty acids produced by keratinocytes in the stratum corneum layer of epidermis. The lipid barrier protects your skin - keeping moisture in and irritants out. A compromised barrier can make your skin red, irritated, itchy, and flaky.• Use ceramide based moisturiser to repair this compromised barrier.

✨ Is your hair falling out, skin feeling dry and itchy, or nails becoming brittle? These could be signs of iron deficiency! Iron plays a vital role in oxygenating your body, and when levels are low, it can affect the health of your skin, hair, and nails.
Here’s how:
1. Hair Fall: Without enough iron, your body can’t produce hemoglobin, reducing oxygen flow to hair follicles, leading to thinning or shedding.
2. Dry Skin & Itching: Low iron levels affect collagen production and skin hydration, leaving your skin dry, flaky, and prone to irritation.
3. Pale Skin: Iron deficiency reduces red blood cell production, causing a pale or dull complexion due to lack of oxygen circulation.
4. Dark Circles: Lack of iron can lead to poor blood circulation, contributing to dark circles under the eyes.
5. Brittle Nails: Nails become weak and brittle due to reduced oxygen supply, leading to easy breakage.
✅ Take note of these signs and ensure you’re getting enough iron through your diet or supplements. Consult a healthcare professional if you’re experiencing any of these symptoms!
✨ Skin cycling is a skincare routine that involves rotating your skincare products with different ingredients to maximise it’s benefits while avoiding irritation & damage. This skin cycling is a 4 day skincare routine which is as follows:
1) Exfoliation
On the first night of this routine after cleansing your face , apply a chemical exfoliant containing glycolic acid, salicylic acid or lactic acid to remove dead skin cells . Follow it up with moisturiser.
2) Retinol
On second night, after cleansing, apply Retinol to promote cell turnover & boost collagen production.
Follow it up with moisturiser to prevent dryness.
3) & 4) Hydration
On night 3 & 4 , focus on hydration. After cleansing apply hydrating ingredients like Hyaluronic acid, snail mucin or ceramide based moisturiser. This will help to maintain your skin barrier.
⭐️ Apply sunscreen in your morning skincare routine to protect your skin from sun damage.

✔️ For keratosis pilaris, make sure to use moisturiser that is rich in urea & lactic acid & don’t use physical scrubs. It might feel better in short term but in long term it can really irritate your skin .
✔️ For sensitive skin, use products that are hypoallergenic & don’t have fragrance. Because fragrances are most common allergens for the skin.
✔️ For pregnant women with acne, use azelaic acid as it has great anti acne & anti pigmentation effect & it is also safe to use in pregnancy & breastfeeding. Don’t use Retinol product in pregnancy.

✔️ For dry skin, make sure that you are using an hydrating cleanser. It will still clean away the dirt & but won’t strip away extra moisture or oil. So it will not leave your skin feeling dry or irritated.
✔️ For dandruff use Antidandruff shampoo & not hair oil . As oil on your scalp can trap microbes that can cause inflammation & increase in dandruff.
✔️ Use silk pillowcases & not cotton one , to prevent hair breakage & reduce friction on your hair & skin, preserving natural moisture on your hair
