Do you have a mind separate from your heart?
The Chinese word for the thinking mind & the feeling heart is the same.
In Eastern languages, the character for Mindfulness is more accurately translated to “heart-mind presence”
It’s a reminder to release the dualistic notions we’ve inherited, that lead us to belief that our thoughts can truly be disentangled from our emotional state.
That lead us to separate the mind, from the body, from the spirit ~ separate ourselves from each other & the natural world of which we are part.
Mindfulness without compassion, without loving awareness, is not an integrative practice.
A depth of gratitude to and the Mindfulness Symposium at for this knowledge that I will continue to share.
From my heart to yours 💓
