One Imperfect Child - Understanding Domestic Violence It is not your fault. You are worthy. You can get through this. Domestic Violence is an epidemic. You are not alone. Education is power.

We offer love, understanding and encouragement for the discouraged. My daughter and I escaped abuse from my boyfriend and husband of 17 years. I thought he would kill us and so did the State of Maryland. Living in domestic violence shelters and programs for three years we never thought we would survive but, we did and so can you. Suffering from PTSD made providing for my self and my daughter very difficult but, here we are, doing well. There is so much misinformation out there and judgmental people. Most will not understand your struggle unless they have been through it. Be strong, if we can make it so can you. We are not just Survivors, we are Thrivers! If you suspect a loved one is suffering through this, hopefully, there will be enough information in here to give you some guidance.
