Linda Mullens, Ed.S. is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP), specifically certified in Pennsylvania, and licensed in Florida. She currently works as an in house school psychologist for a charter school company in Philadelphia. She has previously practiced as a private psychologist in Miami completing psycho-educational evaluations and gifted evaluations for the school-aged population
. She also served Miami-Dade County, the fourth largest district in the country, as a school psychologist, member of the Response to Intervention program, and an Emotional and Behavioral Clinician. For four years, she has worked in Disability Services in Higher Education at the University of Miami and the University of Pennsylvania assisting students with accommodations for college, graduate, and professional schools. She is well-versed in IDEA and ADA as well as transition from high school to college. Mullens received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Sociology from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. During her time at Penn, she worked under world renowned psychologist, Dr. Martin Seligman, as a researcher for the Penn Resiliency Project (PRP) where she worked with adolescence with depression and anxiety disorders. She received her Masters in Education Degree in Human Development and her Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. Lehigh University’s School Psychology program continues to maintain standings as one of the top 3 programs in the United States. During graduate school, Mrs. Mullens worked for the Low Incidence Disabilities Inclusion project which provided her with experience working with children of a breadth of exceptionalities from Autism Spectrum Disorders to Gifted. Mullens has implemented scientifically-based reading programs to successfully help children learn to read, provided individual and group counseling from children, and has worked individually with children in providing diagnostic psycho-educational evaluations and interventions. Throughout her career she has participated in professional organizations such as the Dade Association of School Psychologists (DASP) and National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) to both contribute to her field and to keep abreast of current issues relevant to her profession. She was nominated for President of DASP and served as President Elect before holding the office of President.
