Thank You, NAMI Wichita

Be Kind Therapy, LLC would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to NAMI Wichita for inviting us to be a part of the Rooted in Strength event held on July 19, 2025.

We are truly honored to have participated in such an inspiring and impactful initiative. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of community, connection, and continued conversations around mental health.

Mental Health Monday

Progress, not perfection.

Healing isn’t linear. Some days are filled with strength and clarity, while others may feel heavy or uncertain—and that’s okay. Growth comes from showing up for yourself, even on the tough days.

This week, give yourself permission to be human. Celebrate the small wins. Rest when needed. Speak to yourself with kindness. You are doing better than you think.

Be kind to your mind.

📉 In 2023, 4.3% of U.S. men experienced a serious mental illness — and too many did so in silence.

We see you. You matter. You are not alone.

Mental Health Monday

Unplug Without Guilt.
Your mind needs rest. Your soul needs space.
It’s okay to log off.
It’s okay to not respond right away.
It’s okay to put yourself first.

Taking time to unplug isn't selfish — it's necessary. You don’t need to earn your rest or explain your quiet. Protecting your peace is a form of self-care.💛💙

This week, give yourself permission to disconnect and just *be* — without guilt, without apology.

🧠 In 2023, 45.9% of men with a mental illness received treatment — but that means more than half didn’t.

Let’s change that. Mental health is health. Support is real. Recovery is possible.

June is a very important month. Not just for the purpose of celebrating Juneteenth but also Men's Mental Health!
That's right, men too can suffer from the mental health blues.

💙 June is Men’s Health Month 💙
At The A.R.T. Project and Be Kind Therapy we are committed to increasing awareness around the importance of men’s health—physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Too often, conversations about health leave out the emotional struggles many men face. This month, we’re encouraging education, outreach, and honest dialogue.

- Learn the signs of stress, anxiety, and depression
- Reach out to the men in your life
-Teach the value of mental wellness alongside physical health

True strength lies in being informed, speaking up, and prioritizing self-care.
Let’s work together to challenge the stigma and promote full-body wellness.

Many people turn to drugs or alcohol as a way to cope with untreated anxiety, depression, trauma, or stress.

Others develop mental health challenges as a result of long-term substance use.

This is known as a co-occurring disorder, and it’s more common than you might think.

That’s why it’s so important to treat both the mind and the substance—because recovery isn’t one-dimensional. It takes support, compassion, and an understanding that one-size-fits-all solutions don’t work.

If you or someone you love is struggling, you’re not alone—and there is help.
