Hosea 4:6 (KJV) declares, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
This verse speaks directly to our world today, where the real pandemic is not a virus but the rejection of God’s Word. People are spiritually perishing because they have turned their backs on the truth of God and have chosen to live according to the fleeting pleasures and false wisdom of this world. Why do people destroy themselves and reject the Word of God? The answer lies in their love for sin, pride, and the distractions of a materialistic, self-centered lifestyle.
As John 3:19 (KJV) warns, And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Many prefer darkness because it allows them to live without accountability, but this path leads only to destruction.
Today, we are living in a world where time seems to be collapsing, and events are unfolding at an unprecedented pace. Daniel 12:4 (KJV) foretells, But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
We see this prophecy being fulfilled as technology accelerates, knowledge increases, and yet humanity grows further from God. The rapid passage of time is a wake-up call that the end is near. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 24:22 (KJV), And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Time is fast running out, and we must be vigilant and ready.
This generation is consumed by moral confusion, materialism, and a disregard for godly values. Isaiah 5:20 (KJV) warns, Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness.
As we look around, we see destruction, broken families, violence, and a lack of peace. Jesus described these times in Matthew 24:12 (KJV): And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Despite this, God’s call remains: seek Him, repent, and prepare your hearts for His coming.
Hebrews 3:15 (KJV) exhorts us, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Now is the time to seek the Lord with all your heart. This world is not our permanent home, and it offers no lasting peace. Jesus said in John 16:33 (KJV), These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
There is no peace in this world, only trouble and confusion, but in Christ, we find hope and rest.
Time is fast, and it is collapsing upon us. Jesus is coming soon, and we must prepare to meet Him. 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV) reminds us,
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Let us not waste this precious opportunity to turn to God. Seek His truth, repent, and do not harden your heart. The signs are clear; the time is short. Let us fix our eyes on our eternal home and be ready to meet our Lord. Will you heed His call today? The time to prepare is now before it is too late.
