This page is dedicated to inspiring and supporting those interested in improving their physical, mental, and emotional well-being by sharing in the ritual of walking daily. After being hospitalized and diagnosed with clinical depression and other health issues, I found myself faced with the need to make some serious alterations to my daily routine. Getting me out the door was no easy task, but she
took my hand and led me on the first steps of my life-altering journey. I was tired, and we only walked for 20 minutes; but I was so moved by her gesture of friendship, and so thankful for the moment we shared, that I dediced to make time every day to walk with the friends (some of whom I had not yet met) around me. We try to walk twice a day, every day - sometimes one mile, sometimes four. I have made a point to take a picture on each walk, keeping myself accountable and motivated to make the trek, no matter how long or short it may be. The magic and friendships which have grown from this small movement is truly amazing. New faces join us on the walks... people online post their own walk stories and pictures... and we all congratulate each other on a job well done. So I reach out to you now, saying take my hand and join us on our quest to be the largest daily walk support group on the planet.
