Allow children to explore, express, emerge

Don't push children for answers or force the dialog. Allow children to take pauses. Let them flutter from one topic to another. Meet them at their level and allow the conversation to develop on its own. In natural flowing conversation, the minds merge, as though parent and child have one mind, and there is transference of ideas and emotions. A conversation, a joke, play and banter, are all learning moments for the child.
