Alta HOSA works with ARUP Blood Services to host two blood drives at Alta High School each school year. This summer, ARUP is in great need of blood donations. Please go to their donation center at 9786 S Sandy Parkway to donate blood. There are a lot of promotions they are offering to come in and donate right now. Be sure to tell them you are from Alta High School!! See the flyers for more information.

We are holding another Blood Drive for anyone who wants to donate. For anyone that wants to, please come sign up during lunch on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. The blood drive will be on Monday, May 23 in the media center. Let's make this blood drive our best one yet. If you have any questions feel free to stop by at lunch, or ask Mrs. Starley in room 1134 or even one of the officers, we are happy to answer questions.

Today is the last day to sign up for the blood drive. If you have not already signed up and you want to, please make sure that you sign up during your lunch. For those who have signed up, please make sure that you bring your permission slip (even if your 18), your ID (with your birthday on it), and make sure to eat a good meal before you donate and that you drink plenty of water.

Next week is our Spring blood drive at Alta High School! Thursday April 21st, from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm in the media center. If you are 16 and willing, please come and donate. It takes only about an hour to donate, and you can save lives. You must have a picture ID that also has your birthday on it, something like a drivers license. Also, most importantly, if you are a student at Alta, you MUST have a parent permission slip, even if you are 18. Parents are more than welcome to come, and you don't need to sign up. Sign ups will be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week at either lunch. See you there.

Huge thanks to everyone who came and participated in HOSA competition this last week. Everyone did such a good job. :) A special congratulations to Karissa Liu for getting 1st in her behavioral health test. If you weren't able to go this year, we hope to see you there next year. Keep up the good work guys
