Becoming a Nutritionist, specifically in the Holistic and Functional Health field has been one of the best decisions I ever made.

My path didn't have to be as challenging as it was. I played into marketing for a while, just like you. Then my nutritionist and trainer opened my eyes and allowed me to tap into my creative & intuitive self.

That's when I felt like I could help others achieve their health goals WITHOUT all the crap we just need to put on a permanent MUTE.

There's lots of noise in our world, and it can be difficult to not get drawn in by the latest shiny object. The reality of a healthier you is reducing chronic inflammation.

Doing so in a way that requires minimal effort on your part is what will guarantee success.

AND I have news for you ...

How do I know? I've seen it happen TIME and TIME again! We're talking in the thousands.

Change is easy. It's just making different choices.

It doesn't mean you HAVE to make a million at once.

When we start making changes together, we take them one at a time.

Does that mean there doesn't need to be some drastic action to help you stop hurting & start feeling better IMMEDIATELY? Not at all!

Our first goal is always to ease your pain and discomfort. Sometimes that involves headaches, sometimes its constipation, diarrhea & stomach cramps, OR even body aches. You know that horrible achiness that just doesn't seem to go away? Those are all symptoms, and can usually be relieved rather quickly with a few shifts in choices.

From there, we start looking at what you need to reduce inflammation & reactions long term. Once we figure those out, you have a map.

Working with me is similar to using GPS:

1. Put in your parameters
2. Get some suggestions
3. You pick the route we take

Ever look back and think: Man, what the absolute F

Want to know what my peeps say?

The people I work with are amazing! They take just a few pieces of information and run with it.

Because I don't pull any punches & will clear up confusion about what healthy actually means immediately.

Mandi has done a phenomenal job at stepping up to take care of herself better all while weathering a pretty tumultuous storm.

Years of being told inaccurate information, as well as partial info that was not clear led to many imbalances.

She decided one day that enough was enough & started asking questions. You can see the results.

SWIPE RIGHT to see her pics up close.

I am so very proud of her. She's so strong & her expressions are heartfelt.

Want to chat with her, ask her questions or learn more about her health journey? You can find her here on IG @mandig0117 or on TT @whatsonmandismind

Broccoli is one of the powerhouse super foods.

It is packed full of many of the micronutrients we need every day.

It contains a boat load of fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, iron, and potassium.

Plus it contains more protein than most other vegetables, so it's a great addition to a vegan & plant-based lifestyle.

BUT be warned: an abundance of broccoli in your diet can provide excess iron. Too much or too little iron screws with thyroid production. So if you are a broccoli lover, just be sure to eat a variety of cruciferous foods in addition to your fav to avoid any negative repercussionsπŸ‘

My favorite go to recipe for broccoli is to sprinkle it with lemon juice, minced garlic & red pepper flakes. Healthy, delicious & a great pick me up when you are feeling sluggish & icky.

Do you have a favorite way to make broccoli?

Happiness, joy, love & enthusiasm ... How will you start your week?

You are in charge of how you feel. You can eat to inspire happiness via fulfillment of your body's needs.

Sound odd?

I get it! I used to think it was total BS too. But I have discovered that with a few steps I can help my brain & body life in happiness and joy for the bulk of my day.

Does that mean depression & anxiety doesn't rear their ugly heads?

Nope, not at all!

It just means I have the tools to help myself when those moments do happen. They're inevitable.

Being healthy doesn't mean you are ALWAYS happy, always feel like you are on your game. There are ups and downs ... Life is after all life & nothing is 100%, except maybe your test scores 🀷

Valentine's day can trigger sadness and depression in some people. I invite you to start one small habit today to combat this:

Shift your mindset. Instead of focusing on what you may not have, focus on what you do.

You don't need an external source of "love" for this (or any) day to have meaning. Smile at yourself in the mirror. Give yourself a hug. Blow kisses, give yourself a high 5. Whatever to signify that you are sharing love with you.

Or if mindset work isn't going to help today, try having a citrus smoothie. Or a leafy green & berry salad with vinaigrette. You could also take that salad and wrap it inside a tortilla for a wrap (if you're feeling a sandwich).

Those foods trigger happiness & fulfillment, which your body LOVES πŸ’–.

If neither of those sound appealing, go for a 15 minute walk. Don't forget the cold water to sip on while your walking about πŸ€—

Ultimately, you want to just SMILE because you are well loved by the absolute best person in your world: YOU!

Happy Monday πŸ’–

Sheet Pan Meals - have you heard of them?

They make dinner SO easy. Toss a carb, protein & healthy veggies onto a baking sheet. Bake for a designated time so all food is cooked, and VOILA!

Vegan, vegetarian, omnivore, pescatarian, carnivore, flexitarian, or whatever else is out there ... your dietary preferences aren't an issue with this & many other options. Making healthy, nutritious meals doesn't have to take a ton of time (seriously!)

This is just one of the topics we are going to explore on Tuesday during our class:

Eating Plant-Based when you have ZERO Time.

You'll leave with a few easy recipes that take MINIMAL time to pull together. I'm talking 5-10 minutes max.

No joke --- This is totally do-able WITHOUT processed or any of the C.R.A.P. we strive to avoid.

C. - Excess Caffeine
R - Refined ingredients (aka sugar)
A - Artificial ingredients
P - Processed foods

Another topic we'll discuss is how sometimes it's about how you shop, not just how you cook.

Are you ready to upscale your health without adding another time-consuming activity to your day?

Pop into the private group & RSVP to get reminders & the link to replay or watch at your convenience.

PSST - I'm sharing some special surprises, like free giveaways, throughout our time together. And have a special announcement for those that stick around to the end ;)
