Our DIC Purpose
To serve the health professions community by answering drug-related question using evidence-based, relevant and unbiased drug information services to ensure high-quality patient care. The Drug Information Center routinely responds to requests regarding:
• Appropriate therapy for specific patients
• Adverse reactions to drugs
• Efficacy of drugs
• Drug interactions
• Intravenous additive incompatibilities
• Pharmacokinetic parameters of drugs
• Dosing in renal or liver failure
• Appropriate therapy for a disease state
• Information on investigational agents
• Information on new drugs stability/compatibility.
• Herbal /Natural products.
• Pharmaceutical compounding.
• Pregnancy and lactation.
• Cost.
