🔸Eat high-fiber foods like fruits, vegetables and whole grains.
🔹Drink six to eight glasses of water and other liquids (not alcohol) each day to help keep stools soft.
🔸Consider fiber supplements.
🔹Avoid straining and holding breath when trying to pass a stool because it creates greater pressure in the veins in the lower re**um.
🔸Use the washroom as soon as you feel the urge.
🔹Exercise.
🔸Avoid long periods of sitting.
