Happy Birthday to this gem of a guy I get to call my brother! 🥰

Pei (yep — your nickname since I first started speaking, and it’s still going strong 🥹)… Not only do I hope every one of your dreams comes true, but I also want to say thank you — for all you’ve done, all you do, and all I know you will do for our family.

For mom and dad, for me, for your incredible badass wife, and your insanely awesome kids — you’re always showing up with love, strength, and heart.

I truly wish everyone could have a sibling like you. Honestly, it would make growing up — and parenting — so much easier!

I’m pretty sure my soul would’ve found our parents no matter what…
But I’m especially grateful that you were the one who always wished for a little sister — and here I am. And here we are.

We’ve been there for each other through it all. Sure, teenage years had their “ugh” moments, but let’s be real — we’ve done a pretty damn good job at this sibling thing!

We’ve built such a beautiful book of memories together, and I couldn’t be prouder of the man you are and all the things you’ve created — and will continue to create.

I’ll always be by your side. No matter what. No matter who.

14 years ago, I received the most life-changing phone call…

A beautiful baby boy had just been born.
Mama and baby were healthy.
My heart burst open — it was as if light finally pierced the darkest chapter of my life.

At that time, I was living in Minneapolis…
Trapped in an abusive relationship.
Numbing with alcohol, drugs.
Overworking so I didn’t have to go home.
I had forgotten who I was.

But then that call came.
Without hesitation, I booked the first flight to LA to be with my brother and sister-in-law and welcome this new little soul.

And when I held him — tiny, radiant, pure —
He looked into my eyes and smiled.
Not just with his lips, but with his entire being.
And in that moment… something awakened in me.
I saw hope again.

That same week, I told my family:
“I’m leaving the marriage. I’m moving to LA.”
I chose life. I chose love. I chose healing.

Lucca didn’t just enter this world —
He brought me back to life.

You were the beginning of my rebirth.
You are joy. You are light. You are magic.

Happy 14th Birthday, Lucca!

And then there is the love of taking photos of landscapes… I mean, it is hard to get it wrong when the place and history are all over your face with their original beauty!

The bright side of being an early bird, is to be able to walk through this historical magical city when 99% of people are still sleeping and I was able to get the golden hour sun light shining through and making what is pretty already bring tears to my eyes of gratitude to be able to see something so extraordinary, 🥹!

Then I have a DEEP love for flowers, which most of you know.

As I was walking at the yesterday morning, I ran into an ocean of insanely colorful flowers from and spent some time capturing these beauties and started to talk to Tino about how incredible they were… Tino has a love for flowers as I have for food. He mentioned that he doesn’t get tired or doesn’t feel like it's work, and I totally agree and understand him on his mindset 100%. And I told him that his flowers would not look they way they do if him and his team would not have love for what they do and how they touch the ground and groom them, same with food… it can be just a basic salad, but when you toss it with energy, love and care, it turns to be this incredible nourishing food, ✨!

On my way out and sharing a sweet conversation he hands me this beautiful bouquet as an appreciation, and he was doing the bouquet as we were talking. So thoughtful, so sweet, and meaningful.

I walked away with the biggest smile on my face and grabbed next door my favorite juice: blood orange & tangerine to share with Tino and his team as a thank you!

His words: You don’t have to, and I said… You didn’t have to give me flowers either, 🤗!

This is a shot from a few weeks ago on a car gathering in Culver City, LA with my loves (my man, brother & nephew).

I have been holding on to a lot of gems and it’s time to stop the self-judgment and show off the good goods, ✌🏽!

Happy 46th anniversary to this two extraordinary couple that I have the privilege to have as parents, mentors, friends, business partners, motivating & inspiring people!

I don’t have enough words to say how happy and lucky to have chosen you both as parents!

I love you with all my heart plus much more!

So much to talk about this trip! Being back home with the ones I love and w my love, was a !

It’s pretty amazing to have people in your life that no matter how long you seen one another or how far you live from one another, it’s a true sense of a true friendship! These two girls have been part of my life for thick and thin and we have been friends for a lifetime. I love you more than you ever know and we will live together until our last breaths!!!

We all have been going through a lot of life challenges, but having a good foundation of those that matter around us, we can support, inspire, and motivate each other!

Can’t wait to see what 2025 will bring to us and all around!

Today is the day to talk about breakfast! Love me some breakfast. So much that I could eat any time of the day.

Yesterday, after my beautiful jog/run up the hill on a misty rainy morning, I cooked this incredibly balanced plate to nourish my body after great physical activity.

I butterflied the Jalapeño Poblano Sausage , incredible sausage btw!!!! The pork is delicious and sweet and the peppers are just the perfect mix for a settled spicy touch. You all know how sissy I am for spicy food, lol!

A sunny side up fried in some ghee (healthy fats, vit a, d, e & k2, butyrate, cla) and the remaining fat of the sausage, sprinkled with .

Sliced avocado (healthy fats, fiber, vit k, e, c & b), some sauerkraut (gut health, boost immunity, anti-inflammatory, mental health) & some broccoli sprouts (rich in sulforaphane, a potent antioxidant that supports detoxification, reduces inflammation, and protects cells from damage caused by free radicals - just sprinkle that on everything and you are good to go, LOL!)

Breakfast was ready in less than 30 min and I was nourished until hours later! Nutrient-dense foods do this to you, they make you satiated for a nice solid period because you are feeding your body with all that is needed to maintain a balanced metabolism.

This weekend I decided to work with some meats that I usually don’t cook as much, and my choices were: lamb & duck.

On my way to my second home at Los Padres National Forest (between Santa Barbara & Solvang), CA on Saturday morning, I stopped at the Santa Barbara Farmers Market to get the meats on a cozy misty rainy day.

Yesterday we grilled the lamb chops w just salt and pepper ( when the meat is so fresh and clean, why do more than the basic to taste the meat as it is, yummmmm!), I made a tzatziki sauce earlier in the day to sit and the flavors could marinate for a few hours, grilled some eggplants w garlic & olive oil and a side of arugula salad w/ cherry tomatoes, cucumber & shallots, and for the dressing I used this insane Toasted Walnut Oil from , this cute olive oil shop in Santa Ynez, the 1st pressed olive oil in Santa Barbara!

We went to the Global Gardens store yesterday, after a little wine tasting, and was time to try some local olive oil and explore the taste palate a little. Amazing choice! We tasted 12 types of olive oil, some kinds of vinegar, olives, balsamic, and toasted walnut oil. It was pretty neat to taste one by one and explore the different taste profiles of each one. But have to say that we came home w a bottle of the toasted walnut oil.

It was a great Sunday dinner, fresh and rich! We were pretty happy with the turn around of this plate, ❤️!
