Dyslexia Center of Tulsa

Dyslexia Center of Tulsa Supporting families on their dyslexia journey for positive & permanent changes for learning success.

We use the science of the "Magnocellular Theory of Dsylexia" approach. Our expert team of occupational, speech therapists and teaching staff bring the perfect blend of evidence-based research to treat auditory, visual, and motor delay’s that compound struggles with phonological difficulties which cause reading and learning problems. We address the "why" of reading struggles and the "how-to" reading mechanics. Building neuropathways to make the brain stronger ensures your child achieves their maximum learning potential. We also provide services for printing and cursive handwriting, test strategies, organizational skills, time management, test prep, and much more! Penny Stack, Doctorate of Occupational Therapy, brought the program to Tulsa in October 2012 to offer the community a solution that directly addresses the neurological causes of dyslexia.

🌟 Learning isn’t one-size-fits-all.
This powerful quote is a reminder that dyslexia is not a limitation, but a call for us to teach differently. Let’s celebrate the unique ways all children learn and grow. 💙

Our Heart Story

Ripped right out of the pages of Dr. Stack’s personal life story and her daughter’s learning challenges due to dyslexia, Dyslexia Center of Tulsa (DCT) was founded in January 2012.

Your child's reading success is our passion! Our expert team of occupational and speech therapists as well as teaching staff bring the perfect blend of evidence-based research supported medical and educational theory to address the "why" of reading struggles and the "how-to" reading mechanics. To ensure your child achieves their maximum learning potential we also provide services for printing and cursive handwriting, test strategies, organizational skills, time management, test prep and much more!

DCT brings clients to grade level reading through individualized evidence-based research supported comprehensive cognitive, sensory and phonological based therapy program for children to read fluently and increase reading comprehension. But, most of all to enjoy learning. Penny brought the program to Tulsa in October 2012 to offer the community a solution that directly addresses the neurological causes of dyslexia.
