University of Pennsylvania - Otorhinolaryngology A network for past and present members of Penn's Otorhinolaryngology Department to stay connected and The U.S.

Penn boasts one of the oldest Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (the treatment of ear, nose and throat disorders) departments and residency programs in the country. Since its founding in 1870 through today, Penn ORL-HNS maintains its legacy and commitment to the three pillars of academic medicine: patient care, education, and research. News & World Report consistently ranks the Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian highest within the Philadelphia region, and in their 2015-16 listings the Otorhinolaryngology department was ranked 4th in the nation. Through our residency, fellowship, and grant programs we are able to provide physicians at all levels of training with exposure to cutting-edge medical and surgical as well as to the basic and clinical research domains within our specialty. Our innovative research focuses on pioneering treatments of head and neck diseases that result in tangible improvements in patient therapeutic outcomes and quality of life. This page aims to unite the network of people who are or have been a part of Penn’s Otorhinolaryngology department in any capacity.
