Summer can be tough on our furry friends—while we love the sunshine, our pets can quickly overheat.
At Clipper, we're all about keeping pets healthy and safe. 💙 Here are some must-know hot weather tips for your four-legged family members:
• 💧 Hydration is key: Make sure your pets always have access to fresh, cool water.
• 🚗 No parked car time: Temps inside a car can soar in minutes—even with windows cracked.
• 🕶️ Walk during cool times: Exercise pets in the early morning or late evening to avoid peak heat.
• 🔥 Paw check: If the pavement is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.
• 🌳 Provide shade: Whether outside or inside, pets need a cool, shaded area to rest.
• 🧊 Offer frozen treats: Ice cubes or frozen pet-safe snacks can help cool them down.
• 🐕‍🦺 Short snouts = higher risk: Brachycephalic breeds (like pugs and bulldogs) are more prone to overheating.
