Please, please, please do not make health and supplement decisions because you have seen celebrities and tv personalities spruiking them. This is one example of the darkness of AI and its ability to prey on others. If you want qualified advice, seek out a real, actual professional.

A fake Norman Swan is spruiking unproven supplements and weight loss products online, and people are falling for it. The real Norman Swan feels powerless to stop it.

I love spring sunrises. I love the early morning fog nestled in the valley below and watching to see if it creeps up the hillside or dissipates to reveal the paddocks and grassy knolls below. I love the quiet that an early morning rise gifts to me when I make the effort. It brings a sense of peace and calm hard to find with any other part of the day.

An old condition making a comeback. Fresh veggies and fruits provide vital nutrients for the body and while scurvy seems like an extreme sign of deficiency, it can happen, it’s happening more than it should.

Doctors say scurvy, best associated with sailors' lack of fresh fruit and vegetables on long sea voyages, is a "re-emerging diagnosis" — partly due to cost-of-living pressures.

It’s said that each new day is a chance to have a fresh start. An early Spring morning walk after heavy rain is even more than that. It’s an invitation to shed the staleness a sleepless night has left behind. An invitation to reconnect to yourself…to ground your center when you feel disconnected or disillusioned. An invitation to connect to nature and all her gifts—the freshness of the air, the scent of spring blossoms and eucalyptus leaves wafting through the air after being battered by raindrops. The residual drops falling from the leaves above harmonising with the gentle cracking of tree seed casings as the parrots have their morning meal. Tiny birds calling as the flit from shrub to shrub. The web-like pattern on the dirt road left by the rain. A fiddlehead of a bank-side fern about to unfurl.
It’s an invitation to bring hope, rather than cynicism, into your day. An invitation to stillness…even if just for a little while.

Last weekend I took a little break to the Victorian High Country and spent a few nights .corryong , a stunning cottage lovingly restored by the owners in the peaceful town of Corryong. It had everything I needed for a reset—comfy space, cook’s kitchen, beautiful linens and the brilliant colours of Autumn and a thoughtful, generous host. I’ll definitely be back—thank you Belle!

Leftovers reimagined: I’ve always preferred cooking something fresh each day and reserving leftovers for lunch. But like many of my clients, life gets so busy these days it can be hard to cook every night. I’ve started getting creative with my LOs by using the base ingredients to form a completely new meal. Tonight I’m using chicken I poached in a coconut milk stock a few days ago (I’ve managed 3 dinners from this one main effort so far!). I cooked up some shiitakes I had in the fridge with a smidge of coconut oil and the. Added some of the stock in at the end, letting it thicken to a nice saice. I blanched some green beans and nuked my chicken (keepin’ it real here) then sliced it nicely. Popped the beans in a dish, topped with the chook, then the mushroom sauce, added some sesame seeds and coriander and voila! Really delaih and a total of 15 mins or less from start to finish. Wish I had more!
