So I went to get a pedicure yesterday and the lady grabbed my hand and asked “Full set?!”... I said no ma’am I just need a pedicure. She grab my hands again only this time she said it not as a question, “FULL SET!”😑
I laughed 😂 When she started my pedicure I started thinking about what my hands have been through.
🤔 💭 I know they look pretty rough. They have been through a lot. Lately, I’ve been working on a lot of DIY projects. I’ve been painting and sanding and crafting and shaping. I’ve been using a lot of different materials like glass and wood, cement and vinyl. I’ve been using my hands to build something very important for my future. I know they don’t look like much right now. They’re not that cute. But when I tell you that these hands are blessed and these hands are being used by God to build something amazing. These hands are very precious and strong! These hands have purpose! They have been on the sick and watched them recover. They have held dying loved ones. They have been used to cut my grandbaby’s umbilical cord. They have greeted millionaires and fed the hungry. They have been used for peace but they are willing to fight every demon’s attack. They have been smashed in car doors and windows. They have been extremely dirty and in this past year they have been washed 1 million times! They have waved goodbye to good friends! They have been lifted to praise God! They have watched opportunities slip through them, but they have also grabbed hold to future promises! I love my hands! And right now I love the way they look! They look like I never quit! These hands have done a lot and they are proof that no matter how tough it gets, no matter how hard things can be, they were built by the Creator to survive it all!!
I pray that on today you will look at certain situations in your life that may be too ugly for other people to look at right now. But, that ugly situation will pass! You were built tough enough to handle it! God IS for you and He will show you how to win this time! Now... Look at YOUR hands. What do YOU see?
