Disability Driving Instructors An independent, not for profit, Community Interest Company. Set up in partnership with Driving Mobility.

The Association of Disability Driving Instructors is an independent, not for profit, Community Interest Company. Set up in partnership with Driving Mobility (the new name for the Forum of Mobility Centres), we aim to provide a "one stop shop" offering information and advice about learning to drive, or returning to driving after accident/illness, for disabled people, people with special educational

needs and those with hearing difficulties. The Association will be supported by an on line register of UK driving instructors specialising in teaching disabled people to drive. The register will be free to the end user and easily accessible to all. We are also aiming to help the specialist driving instructor develop their abilities by providing practical training and education (with recognised qualifications) relevant to the sector in which they are working. We also hope to introduce an accreditation scheme, backing up the training and education, to give evidence of experience and expertise. The Association will promote the services of the specialist driving instructors amongst the community they support.
