I remember being in herb school and our teacher telling us about how the plants which are our allies will continue to show up in different ways at different times that would be meaniningful. I am really feeling it right now with these massive Lion’s Mane that grew casually out of tossed out blocks on the floor in my kitchen, and this wild fresh nettle that is growing in the community garden bed I chose at work and have gotten several small harvests and many stings from.
🌿🤍 I can feel the plants and mushrooms calling me back as they emerge, and it feels so comforting and supportive. They really want to nurture and guide and protect us, if only we would pay more attention. It truly does take years and years to embody the many facets of what it feels and means to be an herbalist.
