Munro Family History It seems that my Munro ancestors were farmers in Contin Ross shire Scotland. Our story begins with R Their son Alexander known as Angus was born in about 1784.

Roderick Munro and his wife Margaret Cameron's descendants are many. Some continued with farming while others became merchants or left Scotland 'chasing gold'. His wife Christian McKenzie was born about 1799. They had a family of 10. - Roderick born 29 March 1821, Isabel born 21 May 1822 died before 1823, Isabel born 5 May 1823 died 11 November 1879, Donald born 14 February 1825, James born 20 October 1826, John born 20 September 1828, Janet (Jessie) born 7 March 1831, Ann born 14 April 1833, Alexander born 3 April 1835, Thomas born 2 July 1837. My great grandfather Thomas was the youngest child of Alexander and Christian. We look forward to making contact with other Munro descendants.
