This girl never ceases to amaze me! Myah participated in our school’s “mini meet” last night. She was the only wheelchair racer and crushed it! She was so excited to race and pumped afterward as well. Love seeing her thrive! ♿️

Myah is still very much enjoying being a big sister 🥰 She is such a good helper. She absolutely loves Tate and I know he feels the same about her.
In other news, something I definitely wasn’t expecting to happen over break…Myah broke her foot 🤦🏼‍♀️ In true Myah fashion, she is tolerating it very well. We aren’t sure what she did. One day she told us it hurt and it was swollen and slightly bruised. She also was kind of dragging that foot along when she would walk. We gave it a couple of days (Christmas fell in there) and I called and got her an appointment with her orthopedic surgeon. They couldn’t get us in for about a week due to the Holidays. We went yesterday where he confirmed via x-ray that she did in fact break it. He said with the location of the break, she likely twisted her foot wrong and fell on it…which she honestly probably does on a daily basis so it’s hard to narrow down when and what she exactly did. We go back in about 4 weeks. We would appreciate prayers that everything heals well. Thanks so much!

I am realizing I haven’t posted any sort of update on here in a while. Myah has continued to thrive this school year. She loves her school, teacher and friends. She has had a few specialists appointments which have all gone well for the most part. We are in a “wait and see” position for a couple different things but she is doing very well overall. In probably the biggest news, that I am realizing I never shared on this page, Myah is going to be a big sister very soon! She is going to have a a baby brother 🥰💙 To say she is thrilled is a huge understatement. When we told her, she said she has waited her whole life to be a big sister 🥹🥰 She hasn’t stopped talking about how excited she is since. The boys are very excited too! As always, if you wouldn’t mind keeping Myah in your prayers that she continues to thrive and the that the things we are “waiting and seeing” on turn out to be nothing. Also, if you wouldn’t mind keeping me and baby boy in your prayers so that we may have a safe and healthy remainder of pregnancy and then a safe and healthy delivery and recovery…we would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you!

Happy World Spina Bifida Day!!! Our world forever changed the moment we first heard the words Spina Bifida. It felt like our world was over but it was really broken wide open. Our eyes have been opened and we have learned so much. We are better people because of what Myah has all taught us. She truly is the sweetest most resilient person…and I can’t forget, she is absolutely hilarious. She is blessed with the best brothers on the planet who have shown her unconditional love, acceptance and that she can conquer anything. Our life may not be what we had envisioned but it truly is so much better.
