💜 Is paid directly to the board-certified music therapist providing treatment
💚 Applications received on or before February 28 will be reviewed in March.
💙 Applications received on or before August 31 will be reviewed in September.

Post Beryl update:

Hello!

I hope this message finds you and your family safe and well. I wanted to reach out and inform you that, due to recent circumstances, several of our therapists, myself included, are currently without power. Unfortunately, internet and phone signal remain unreliable in many areas, which may cause delays in our communication and services.

Please know that we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging time. We are making every effort to restore normal procedures swiftly.

Many of us are also managing responsibilities at home, including caring for children and pets, during this heat wave which adds to the complexity of the situation. We are doing our utmost to navigate these challenges while maintaining our dedication to your well-being.

Thank you for your continued support and patience. Your therapist will notify you as soon as they are able to resume services and respond to emails promptly. In the meantime, I have attached some links to helpful resources in the Houston area for those affected by Hurricane Beryl.

The Texas Legislature determines the number of HCBS slots funded every Legislative session. This is what was approved for the 2022-2023 bienium.

Now is the time to talk with those running for office about the need to invest in community-based services and reduce the wait list.
