Meet Hailey Macleod, an Occupational Therapist (MScOT, McMaster University) from the Coast Salish Sechelt Band, born and raised in the Okanagan. Hailey will be working as a virtual OT at GR Baker Memorial Hospital, in Quesnel with Remote Rehab.
Since 2021, Hailey has been dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages, from children to elders, with a focus on ADHD, autism, mobility issues, pain, fatigue, and mental health challenges. As someone who is neurodivergent herself, she brings a unique perspective that allows her to connect deeply with families and individuals.
Her passion is inspired by the legacy of her late grandmother, Milly, whose strength, resilience, tradition and love continue to motivate her. After Milly experienced 8 years of isolation and fear in residential schools, she escaped at 16 years old with Hailey’s Grandpa to Sechelt. Hearing her stories motivates Hailey to help her local community and all BC Indigenous communities to have access to the support they deserve, working with each client towards a life that inspires them to thrive
