Deep within us there is a desire to be loved, to be liked. I guess it starts when we are children and grows from there.

As we grow this desire grows and we can get caught up in this as adults wanting acceptance, wanting to be heard, wanting to be valued.

Yet all the time we strive for this we are in fact giving away our power. Our self worth becomes dependent on the whims and opinions of others - most of whom donโ€™t have our best interests at heart.

The moment you can reach a point of self acceptance - the moment when you can say, โ€œyou know what this is who I am - take me or leave me.โ€ That moment changes your world. You unhook yourself from trying to earn the acceptance of others and set yourself free to welcome in those who love you exactly as you are

Hi, hello, I see you...EVERYONE is busy in their own way, right?!

I hear so often that people donโ€™t feel like they have the time to workout, to eat healthy, to do personal development, or to start their own side hustle.

I want you to think about this though...do you spend time each day scrolling on social? Chatting on the phone? Watching Netflix? Online shopping?

I know you do, because I do too!

But a few years ago, I decided to allow myself to do those things AFTER I had taken time for myself, my health, and my business.

That meant I woke up a bit earlier to get in my 30 minute workout. I spent 30 minutes planning meals on weekends so we could eat healthy and not spend so much money eating out. I listened to podcasts while I folded laundry and did dishes. I worked my side hustle during nap time instead of watching a show.

In the beginning, I didnโ€™t think I had time for these things, but with a few small changes, I realized how much time I really did have. And once I started feeling amazing and seeing results in my body and my bank account, there was no going back! โœŒ๐Ÿผ

If youโ€™re like me, the hardest part of any workout is pushing play. I can put it off all day long, saying I donโ€™t want to do it, but I know deep down that Iโ€™ll feel so much better if I do.

So my workout rule is...give it 2 minutes.

Push play, start the warmup, and if by 2 minutes in you still donโ€™t want to do it, you can stop.

Spoiler alert...I can almost guarantee you...you wonโ€™t stop. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Just because someone else is doing the same thing youโ€™re doing does NOT mean you donโ€™t offer tons of value. It does NOT mean people wonโ€™t want to come to you.

It just means that thereโ€™s a lot of people in this world and, helloooo...you canโ€™t help every single person out there!

Just think about how many doctors, teachers, lawyers, police officers, firefighters, etc there are in this world.

So if youโ€™ve been contemplating joining my team and trying this coaching thing out, but youโ€™ve been held back because you donโ€™t think youโ€™ll have enough to offer people, I need you to STOP with the negative self-talk and START leaning into your unique value and talents, because sister, you have them! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Please tell me Iโ€™m not aloneโ€ฆ
..does anyone else find it hard to actually slow down long enough to partake in self care activities?!

My brain is like a hamster wheel, constantly going and checking things of my to-do list.

But this summer, Iโ€™ve vowed to be better about slowing down, unplugging, and doing more self careโ€ฆ.even if that means turning off my phone off sitting on the porch in silence or spending more time outdoors not worrying about my notifications or chores.

As a coach, itโ€™s my job to lead from the front and show my challengers and team that life isnโ€™t a constant state of hustle...but a balance of hard work and rest.

One of the best ways to track your progress and see just how far youโ€™re coming is to JOURNAL! ๐Ÿ“

Whether you have a physical journal or keep a note on your phone, I encourage you to reflect each day on how youโ€™re feeling, what a win from your day was, what workout you did, and what you want to work on the next day.

Then over time, you can look back at just how far youโ€™ve come, what challenges youโ€™ve crushed, and see all the workouts youโ€™ve completed!

By journaling each day, youโ€™ll also be holding yourself accountable to your healthy habits and allow yourself to focus on one day at a time.

Women are constantly juggling work, kids and childcare, keeping up a home, cooking, cleaning, paying bills, continuing education, and ALLL the things.

Itโ€™s no wonder womenโ€™s self care tends to struggle.

As women, itโ€™s our instinct to take care of others and put the needs of others and the duties of our jobs before ourselves and OUR mental and physical well-being.

And thatโ€™s what Iโ€™m here to help change.

I am truly passionate about helping women see more for themselves...see that there IS a way to take care of themselves and find who theyโ€™re meant to be.

You donโ€™t have to feel like an empty shell of a person, only living and breathing to serve others.

You can feel empowered to put your needs first and do things that are just for you.

Traveling is no longer a reason to not take care of yourself.

Yes, you can have fruity cocktails, tasty food, and totally enjoy yourself on vacation. Heck, I WANT you too!

But I ALSO WANT you to be full of energy, joy, confidence, and move your body so that you feel your best and can fully embrace your time.

However, Iโ€™ve learned something about myself throughout my health and fitness journey that I think will help you too.

Trying something NEW and getting out of my comfort zone makes me even MORE excited to show up for myself.

Therefore, Iโ€™m even more CONSISTENT with my healthy habits. So this summer, Iโ€™m challenging myself to spice up my summer shake and try new recipes to make getting my daily superfoods in that much more tasty and exciting.

Ingredients:1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 scoop Chocolate Superfoods
2 tsp. ground whole wheat graham cracker crumbs, divided use 1cup ice

Instructions:Place almond milk, extract, Shakeology, 1 tsp. graham cracker crumbs, and ice in blender; cover. Blend until smooth. Pour into a serving glass and garnish with remaining 1 tsp. graham cracker crumbs; serve immediately.
